You're right. What's more, this implies the signals can only be distinguished if they come from different places.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I own a PixelQI tablet and I bet it beats any of the listed devices in bright sunlight. I used it in bright sunlight once or twice and the readability was great. The only drawback is the colors get a bit washed out as the ambient lighting increases (because the reflective

Some phones do actually still work as an alarm clock when they're turned off, though I guess most (if not all) of them are ancient.

Do I need to buy a new tv for this or can this also be run from some computer connected to the tv? In the second case, will the Raspberry Pi be powerful enough to do the job?

Sounds great, but my major concern for this thing is battery life. Intel is famous for making devices dissipating around 10x (if I remember it well) the amount of power an ARM device does. Does anyone know if this chip also has this issue?

I don't wear glasses either, but I sure would wear these if they turn out to be useful. Especially if they come in a sunglasses edition :)

The graph is correct, because as long there are no standardized units of measure for "scientific advancement", one can always define them in a way such that the graph is correct. I dare claim that for any "intuitive" quantification method for "scientific advancement" the graph is a good approximation of reality.

Can I play (and, more importantly, claim my prize if I win) from Europe or do I have to be in the USA?

There are people who do not have facebook accounts but who do actually exist, even in the age category you mentioned. I am an example of such a person myself, and honestly I am glad I haven't opted into any service which screws its clients like facebook does.

Actually I am more interested in seeing what happens during the setup of personal data. In earlier Windows versions it was ask for some info, reboot, ask for some more info, reboot etc. but this post contains some subtle indications that this, too, might be different in windows 8. Could it be that they have finally

Solution: just put the thing inside a Faraday bag and only let it out when streaming energy consumption data to mobile devices (assuming that's what the wireless signals are being used for)

I read somewhere that questions like "How much is 1+1" often work better than catchpas. I personally highly doubt this mainly because I think wolfram alpha would be able to answer most of them quite easily. But it might be a good idea to render these questions in catchpa for dual security.

IF WebOS is killed, does that mean all their patents move to the public domain? I would love to see Android + Cards + JustType ...

A year or so ago I read somewhere (don't remember where) that adding multiple cores helped mobile processors underclock themselves when possible, sharply decreasing power consumption. Now you are claiming an overclocked single core chip consumes less power than a dual core chip... I'm confused.

I currently have two bikes and in two days both got a leak tire. Those metal wheels would solve this annoyance eternally...

Maybe because not everyone likes the smell of flowers and other stuff usually put into perfumes, but people who don't (a.k.a. people like me) usually do like the smell of food.

What does this tablet look like? Would it be just another touchscreen-only device or would it look more like an autonomously working Wii U controller?

Whatever the person is sitting on is bound by two wires:

I bet we would even be using laptops on the toilet if it weren't for their big and unwieldy form factor.
