This is a real shame. I hope another network picks it up as it felt like a show that had found its footing and had many stories yet to tell.

He was so-so in The O.C. (his first big break), but he was great in the wonderful Southland.
What a waste of the fantastic Melinda Clarke. Had hoped she'd stick around, but her character was sadly a bit of a necessary non-entity to move Penguin's story forward.
I would suspect he's been appointed because people are ignorant of his actions in this case. Not everyone has watched this show and many will be unaware or indifferent to "another show about a murder" when it's been brought up in media circles.
I'm not sure the author was suggesting Hollywood needs to make a preachy LGBT-focussed film about tolerance and acceptance, more that it needs to update its own idea of what constitutes a (potentially) successful film.
Kalinda's undoing was when they brought in her (ex?)husband and she seemed like this nervous wreck that was completely at odds with her previous demeanour.
Thanks for this important bit of information.

I guess the score was pushed down because of the very poor story development/set-up
"That scene…when Huck bugged out his eyes" - literally every scene that Huck's in. Guillermo Díaz is a pretty weak actor, I feel.
ADR?
It irks me how EVERYONE and EVERYTHING has to have a designated title for their fans. People who label themselves part of the Beehive/Little Monsters/whatever else just sound like one step away from the loony bin to me.
"She loves to brag that she writes for herself and what she likes, Audience be damned." - in some ways this is admirable as shows can get ruined by obsessive and overly vocal fans (usually loopy shippers who want their two faves to hook up, ugh) chiming in with what they think the show should be doing.
I didn't get the big whoop about McDreamy - nice to look at but he was only interesting in relation to Meredith. I don't feel the show has suffered at all since his departure.
An episode focussed on Papa Pope and Jake - something literally nobody wanted.
Also, it's not like he used an old photo of himself - the photo was literally the complete opposite of him: young, fit, hot, black.
"I've always liked beyoncé as a hit maker, but her albums always left me cold."
I haven't heard this album yet, but I do own all her previous efforts and Beyonce has always put out stellar singles and patchy albums. Her future greatest hits album will be awesome, but there are slim pickings when it comes to choosing deep cuts.
"it's asking far too much of Grey's to remember something that happened 6 years ago."
I think it initially came over as Maggie being self-righteous but the subsequent reveal that it was rooted in her own stress and worry about being a responsible figure/guardian to Meredith's children removed that element for me.
