I’ve owned two and I can tell you, with a decent gear linkage, which costs less than 15 bucks to rebuild, you can shift them faster than most cars, the shifter springs from one gear to the other with the slightest persuasion. With a dodgy linkage they can be a bit vague but they’re a dream otherwise.

Dude I bought mine here in the uk for the equivalent of 4ooo dollars, you’d definitely come out ahead.

There are a number of very thorough parts websites for them in Europe, most of them do international shipping so it would just be a case of waiting for packages, but the parts themselves are really cheap, and you can buy almost enough to build yourself a brand new car if you really wanted to. They really do rival

Amazon didn’t turn a profit for like 10 years. Now Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world and Amazon is one of the most profitable companies on the planet. Modern giants have to play the long game to get anywhere.

Nope, if it’s ground around a ski lift, chances are it’s used a lot, and packed hard. It might even be ice, the approach into a popular ski lift is usually pretty sketchy

That’s how we spell it in better educated corners of the world.

I used to do that in my 2cv, when I was a new driver and not particularly good at parking. If I had a few friends with me and I was a bit far from the kerb, we’d pick it up from the bumper and move it closer, it would only take 3 guys to do it.

I can’t imagine, I’m 6'6" and I already feel stared at. Need me some of these cards to hand out as it gets pointed out just about every time I meet someone new. I feel like I’m on the border of circus freak, but I can’t imagine being four inches taller

My favourite Geneva motor show experiences have been meeting the salespeople, usually my age so between 20 and 30. Some were guys and some were girls, usually local. They’re very knowledgable, and very capable of having a decent conversation, not always about the cars either. They’re getting paid as much as the models

See, I knew being a history nerd could one day be used to take down a douchebag.

Yes. Literally all of those examples were core to the greatest empires in world history. Car show babes aren’t.

Porn dude, that’s what it’s there for. Otherwise, we and the world around us have a duty to build role models for the next generation. When a 6 year old walks past a motor show stand and sees the girls looking pretty around the cars and the men in suits managing the company, that’s how you hardwire a kid’s plastic

Ok, so technically this was a driveway find, which I bought, took home and put into my very messy garage. But if you want to pretend this thing has been sitting among these bicycles, paint cans and old gardening tools for 40 years, be my guest.

You’re right.

From the uk, let me assure you, it’s still a shit car, sorry.

Most people over the age of 13 you’ll find agree with you.

Yet another vaguely related, not so funny, lazily thought out photo comment from skay!

Ok, so other than a means for mindy to finally buy those cute shoes she’s been wanting, I want you to defend pit girls. What in your opinion, is their function and benefit to the sport and the spectators that warrants paying them to stand there?

Haha yes they were... If the next company is pumping out five times the production with a quarter of the man power, that’s pressure from “nonparticipants” to move with the times. Grid girls aren’t a question of production, but if you’re the last major sport league left who uses women as ornaments, you’ll slip pretty

We took millions of jobs away from factory workers during the industrial revolution, and many more at every revolution in society since and the world has steadily gotten better since. Just because people want to do a certain job, doesn’t mean it fulfils a valuable contribution to society.
