Agreed, people who bought Fiestas or Focuses will go somewhere else now, not buy an suv they don’t need. If they have a good experience at Kia/Mazda/Toyota etc. you’re losing customers for life
They aren’t switching to full sized SUVs. The CUVs don’t carry the mileage penalty that their big brothers do. That said, I think it’s terribly short-sighted too.
Based on the Focus, same ride height...the only difference is the roof height.
This strikes me as a choice that Ford may find regrettable when gas prices climb back up. But I’d assume that Ford has put much more thought into this decision than I have.
I’ll say it. I think this is a terrible idea.
Don’t skip anal-kegel day.

A Tesla spokesperson gave Jalopnik the following statement:
Meh, I think it looks cool and much better integrated than it used to be. Really harkens to Toyota’s heritage too, which most grilles don’t.
Ignoring the spindle grille, rear spoiler, bland wheels, “tent” over the gauge cluster, fragmented headlights, excessive body creases and three-tone side mirrors - that’s a pretty good looking car
Why do all modern cars have to be designed so that anything other than a 20" wheel looks small? It’s dumb and they should feel dumb.
FCA won’t let us touch this.
