I’m convinced this has less to do about depressing history, and more about black people.

People visit Anne Frank’s house and holocaust museums regularly, and rarely do they walk out like “This was too much like a lecture”. Hell, there is even an ‘anti-fun selfie’ movement at holocaust museums.
