Not to sound ignorant, but unless these crimes put her in some type of danger or affect her directly, why does it matter? The land she lives on isnt inherently evil/bad because of what happened there.

I think part of the problem is convincing yourself 'this is original'. Most melody, and sounds that have already been used have a heavy influence on hip-hop, rap, & pop.
