So, just so we are clear here is a quick summary of Tammy Duckworth’s life:

I have a really serious drinking problem and I pretty much have to stop on my own at home while helping taking care of two disabled people. I have no transportation to meetings or health insurance or any support system. I feel pretty hopeless.

I do think that Trump is getting about 15% of the regular republican vote in addition to the racist birther base, so that number is a bit inflated. It’s about 25% nationally who are virulent racists. At least I hope. That fits with polls that have Birtherism at about 20% give or take.

The South has liberals too, I promise. There aren’t as many of us, but we exist. I don’t live in Mobile, but I promise you will find like minded people. Look for your nerd and geek culture or the arts. That will help.

So yesterday , when I was shopping with a friend, I got followed in an Ulta store. (i’m Black)

I’d say looking at how Trump is polling answers that question.

He flies under the radar because he looks like a racist ghost who died during plastic surgery.

Not if you recognize that you are making an assumption and remain open to additional information that comes in. The whole “leave town or else” caused an immediate quizzical eyebrow raise on my part as well.
