Someday I'll Drive Something Fun

I can’t believe how disappointed and, quite frankly, apathetic I felt watching the Tesla with it’s silence. The data speaks for itself, but man... I can’t imagine I’d enjoy daily-ing or tracking it more than any similarly priced/spec’d combustion engine’d car.
I realize this is probably what people first said about

Porsche claiming electric cars aren’t a job killer based on adding 500 start-of-production jobs is the equivalent of claiming climate change is a farce because it’s hot/cold out one day.

It’s going to take a while for both electric and combustion engine / power train / vehicle supply chains to ramp up/down for anyone

I wonder if it still had the duffel bag in the trunk with a back up pair of New Balance shoes, jorts, and a white corvette logo’d tee shirt?

I’ve done it a few times over the past 15 years; all after witnessing seriously impaired driving over a sustained period of time. Most recently (last November) I called in a late 90's Dodge Ram on I-43 in Wisconsin (north of Milwaukee). Over a 10 minute span on a highway, the vehicle drove exclusively in the left lane

German engineer 1: We’ve done it. We’ve over-engineered everything. What should we call it?

2020 Tesla Roadster top speed: 75,189 MPH = $0.75 per MPH

What about “Thawing”?

2019 Ford Taurus SHO CPO! You can find a TON with less than 20K miles for under $30K. It checks all the boxes - AWD, Reliable (100K OEM warranty), domestic service and parts pricing, sleek, and (relatively) fast and fun to drive!

Does the lack of a radiator mean it’s technically air-cooled?

Asking for all the confused Porsche purists out there who aren’t sure whether to praise or crucify this thing.

IMO,Torch is spot on. It would be interesting to see the income demographic of the average Model S/X/3 ownership. My assumption (based somewhat on the Tesla owner’s I know) is that Tesla buyers are motivated more by the brands status and, due to a lack of high end EV alternatives, aren’t maximizing their vehicle

David, would love to see the equivalent 17.5 hour long video for your postal jeep.

@Tom, be honest. This guy doesn’t actually exist. “Someone” on the Jalop team definitely ghost wrote this submission so you all had a justifiable excuse to get weird. Maybe the guy who just so happened to have three suggestions lined up? lol.

If you are an inattentive driver, those systems are great. If you are an attentive driver they will drive you fucking crazy.

Niiiiice.

I know what I have. No low ballers!”

Agreed that a specific power profile and engine longevity were probably of focus by Ford when implementing a larger displacement... but I’m surprised fuel economy and emissions weren’t discussed. In my experience (marketing/sales for a small engine manufacturer), a larger displacement engine would often deliver better

Economics. To achieve a more stringent emissions standard, auto/engine manufacturers typically have to add cost into their vehicles. This cost affects profitability. Auto manufacturers can either accept a lower profitability on their product, or raise price to maintain margin at the expense of sales/market share. As a

A little surprised no one... SHO’d him a Taurus?
