Work is hard enough without the co-workers who spend their energy on malicious maneuverings. I feel for you, you must be exhausted at the end of every week. I hope things start to take a turn for the better soon, with the union and mgt stepping up to the plate to fulfill their roles on your behalf and the behalf of

lol

So sorry for your loss, not sure how I missed this poignant post last week. So sorry.

I was thinking “Groucho” LOL

This link takes you to an article with a comprehensive review of the interiors of her homes in England, in Paris, and in NYC over the decades.

LOL

Man, that would be some estate sale: Lee Radziwell auction.

Classic-with bonus appearance by Mackenzie Crook <3

Sorry about your friend, how painful for everybody, especially him. To me, your friend sounds very very lucky to have two highly devoted friends. I hope it is some consolation for him, although he sounds terribly unhappy. Sad.

Wow, looks very tasty. How I adore tzadziki sauce! I’m mostly living on fruit with plain yoghurt, and salad with poached salmon, veg, and olives. I snack on nuts, so I’m healthy and full  of protein. I drink an astonishing amount of water, especially on the days I hike or ride my bike.

In this old house we could use your help. Even the exterior fixtures attached to the garden hoses (3) leak.

I would take 10 Andys any day over those two simple Bush dolts who populate the NBC studios, Jenna and her entitled uncle Billy.

You might be right about that.

Honestly, how fucked up were the lives of the Gettys and other American billionaires? Another incredible, and inescapable burden attached to inherited wealth is  never knowing that someone loves you for your personal qualities rather than for monetary reasons. http://money.com/money/4345672/rich-people-problems/

I had read Warren Buffet (and possibly Bill and Melinda Gates) was philosophically opposed to providing massive inheritances for his children. To that end he developed “the Giving Pledge in 2010 — a campaign set up by Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates in the hope of encouraging the super-rich elite to donate

Agree very very hard about this. Not to dispute the final wishes of the dearly departed, but certainly doesn’t hurt at all to share the “wealth” (a relative term-wouldn’t mind a few of Andy’s millions myself, but that’s not gonna happen in my family), if the beneficiary wishes.

LOL. Oh, snap!

Oh, I love Barbara Pym, though I haven’t read her as much as the others I cited. She’s a writer who has been referred to as, ‘underrated’. Certainly true that she doesn’t get the recognition she deserves, though I think she was shortlisted for the Booker Prize at least once. Def worth another look. I am in a bad place

Oh gosh, those names are all new to me. Thank you very much!!!
