The first network TV show about a black superhero? Perhaps you’ve forgotten M.A.N.T.I.S., which aired for one glorious season on the FOX network?

If this show isn’t part of the Arrowverse and Jeffersone Pierce is a high school principle... Can we at least get a crossover with Riverdale and/or iZombie?
It sure as hell ain’t Ted Striker!
It’s a good example of why it’s necessary to continuously reevaluate the original conceit to ensure it still makes sense within the context of what the show has become -- no matter how much sense it made or how clever it seemed in the beginning. See also: HIMYM.
The final four words sucked because they mean that Lorelai failed as a mother. There is nothing wrong with becoming a single mom at 32, but that ending for Rory is so counter to the point of view of the entire show. Now if Rory had gone to grad school and accepted that teaching job, while raising her baby in Stars…
No. No it isn’t. Not by a long shot. April was sweet, interesting, and an example of young girls being successfully scientific-minded AND able to combine that with successful childhood friendships.
Amen. Among all the credulity-stretchers in GG history, the idea that a woman who makes her living running a store filled with carefully curated used crap would never decide to seek child support from a nearby successful restaurant owner/inheritor of decent real estate is a really tough one to buy.
Except In Parenthood it was way more than a ‘trope’. This storyline in GG was borne out of desperation for stories. Jabber was introduced in the Pilot in Parenthood and Crosby’s entire storyline was based on that. Also Parenthood was awesome and needs more love and I miss it!
I despise the I-just-found-out-I-have-a-child TV trope. I hated it in both Gilmore Girls and Parenthood (although Jabbar is freakin’ cute), and I wish TV writers would never, ever do it. Ever. Just no. Part of what makes it so terrible in GG though, is that April is introduced six seasons in with zero warning. There’s…
And yet people claimed Season 7 was the worst season because the Palladinos didn’t write it despite the fact they wrote the April and Spoiled Rory storyline in Season 6.
Love Deakins’s work, but hopefully Rachel Morrison will at least get a nomination for her work on Mudbound (no woman has ever been nominated for a cinematography Oscar).
Will Ferrell seems like he would be really funny on SNL.
So, you don’t get the guy who has OCD for this one? This is a weird network.
not enough fjords!
Yes. Donald Trump’s presidency should have been a fairly sizable indicator.
I’m still here! (Sort of) I lost my Scrawler name in the transition and I can’t get out of the fucking grays, so I hardly ever come around anymore. But I did happen to decide to pay a visit randomly just 20 minutes after this story posted. My Hardy sense must have been tingling ...
No, I got the same thing. Frankie Yankovic was “America’s Polka King”, even though Jimmy Sturr took the most Polka Grammys.
There’s only one polka king, and that’s Gus Polinski. Very big in Sheboygan.
