I first saw Overboard a few years and there is a lot of questions it raises without necessarily being interested in answering. If you don’t think about it, it’s entertaining. If you think about it too much, it’s pretty horrifying. A remake, even with swapping genders, seems like a difficult challenge in 2018.

Begun the Chris Wars have.

Andrea Romano shout out! (I don’t know if you can do a Random Roles on someone who casts the roles, but I would love to hear her stories of getting the fascinating roster of voice actors she’s used. And someone needs to ask if she really got in to watching the Whedonverse during JLU as every episode seemed to

That’s delightful to hear Kelly Bishop is a treasure off-screen too! Her work in “Philadelphia,” much like in the revival as well, shows how good she is at portraying when the facade of Emily starts to crack. She can play Emily’s biting wit so well, but she really is great at showing her vulnerabilities too.

Ahh...Dark City. I adore that movie and it makes me sad how Proyas keeps on churning out mediocre stuff since. The Crow wasn’t perfect, but it had style. I, Robot, the Egypt movie...just sad.

The Blackhawks were pretty cool in the WWII episode of the Justice League cartoon (which also featured Steve Trevor, Sgt. Rock and Easy Company and Vandal Savage, a real treasure trove of neat characters) and this seems to be at a cross section of a lot of Spielberg’s interests. Then again his takes on World War II

The radio station that plays at work has been offering tickets to the Midwest Gaming Classic all week. THEY NEVER SAID THERE WOULD BE HAWT BILLY MITCHELL NEWS!!! I would have definitely gone!

The more distance April has from being introduced almost solely as a plot device to cause tension between Luke and Lorelai, the more likeable she is. A large part of that is Vanessa Marano being a good actress (Yeah, Switched at Birth!) and part of that is she softens Luke’s gruffness the same way Lorelai and Rory do.

I will be thankful for the revival for Kelly Bishop’s performance (her DAR meltdown alone is a top-5 scene for me) and some Lorelai relationship resolution and when she finally tells Emily a nice story about Richard and prominent Kirk...but anything Rory-related is pretty much terrible. I agree that it’s baffling ASP

I’m a big fan of Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar’s decidedly less cool cousin. Stephen Schwartz’s songs are top notch and Victor Garber is really good as the lead despite the Superman t-shirt and rainbow suspenders. I’ll never understand the John the Baptist/Judas dual role, but the duet with Jesus is great. I would

It’s even a little muddled for journalists. I’m a former member of the The Newspaper Guild, which fell under the larger oversight of the Communication Workers of America, which mostly represents people working for telephone companies and other communications providers. Everything has at least some crossover at this

French Twist....AKA...THEY CALL IT THE FRENCH MISTAKE!

The tone and Christmas setting makes it completely shocking to me now that Shane Black didn’t write this.

Ahhh...that’s what was missing from Dark Knight Rises. Alfred asking Bruce if a football game would clear his mind.

“Ya Mo Killed a lot of people.”

Oh, he was so good as Paul. Quiet, but not meek. Great chemistry. And Jane Lynch was also great as Julia’s sister. I knew her from the Guest movies and Glee, but she showed some good depth as Julia’s impossibly tall sister.

I didn’t know about Ephron’s back story, but you can definitely see those influences through her work. Desk Set was the first Hepburn/Tracy movie I saw and I’ve always loved it.

The part where Atticus kept his MS a secret was a bit of an odd fit, but it made sense eventually.

To you, the day Ms. Lauryn Hill graced your village was the best day of your life. But for her, it was a Sunday.

Ah, Gia Goodman to me at this time. Somewhere there’s a Jessica Jones/Valkyrie teamup embedded in season two of Veronica Mars. (I thought Tessa Thompson was super weak in that season of VM, maybe I just didn’t love the character, but she turned me completely around in Creed and Ragnarok).
