I’ve owned multiple NA’s and one NB. I didn’t like my NB, but for a specific reason.. they could NOT find a way to balance the tires, wheels, etc that didn’t make the car go into a fatal “shimmy” at 67-72 mph... 1000x worse than the NA’s I had, which all did that but to a lesser extent. Mazda ended up buying the car…

Reality is that Subaru has been placing H-6 engines in the front of cars since the late 80's XT6... XT6, SVX, Tribeca, Outback, Legacy... they’ve all had them on and off. BUT they’re not mounted between the wheels but mounted AHEAD of the front wheels. Just turn that 911 around and you’ve got the idea.
