I own a ‘14 SS so yeah, there’s that. I’m approaching 80K miles as well because I drive my SS, unlike some of the owner base who prefer to talk about future collector status rather than have fun in their cars. It is garaged and I frequently detail it so I guess I’m going to end up like one of those owners eventually.

This is similar to the impression I got when shopping E90 M3s and same year C63s. In my admittedly brief drives the AMG 6.2 liter was so much stronger at any rpm that the S65 kinda felt like it was better matched to a roadster-sized car than a 3600 lb sedan. Hmm. The RX-7 was the sports car of that bunch but the mkiv Supra combined the GT ability of the 300ZXTT and 3000GTvr4 with the track numbers of the RX7 and LT1 Plastic Fantastic. I’m no Supra fan but I read all of the period reviews on all of those cars and the automotive world had the Supra as the best of the bunch

Tech package is really good, user interface is fairly quick and intuitive and it has all the modern driver aids but they only warn you, no automated interference. They can all be disabled as well, if you wish for some odd reason. 4G lte included in ‘15 and up models. Siri hands free but no CarPlay or AndroidAuto.

Please add the SS sedan to your shopping list, you won’t regret it. Drive one on a curvy road and you’ll marvel at the ride/handling balance the Holden engineers (some former BMW E39 5 series guys) were able to achieve. The SS is so much more car it isn’t even close. You get all the equipment you would in a fully loaded SRT Charger/Challenger and it’s 400-500 lbs lighter to boot. Chassis dynamics are in a different galaxy as well. I looked at E90 Ms and C63s as well before buying my SS and neither matched the combination of wheel

Do you not see the cage in it?  Cage > subframe connectors. Plus I bet if they took all the time to do the cage the torque boxes have been done too.

Fox bodies have been climbing for a while now, you could part it out for more than the asking price if you really wanted to. Bad rationale.

Former owner of 4 different Fox body Mustangs here. This thing is an abomination but probably worth the $ just to convert it back to normal. Also, the Edelbrock intake is an upper/lower matched combo and the injectors aren’t higher pressure, they’re higher flow.  Sorry, had to say that.

I purchased the better version, the Sentra SE-R, new in 1993 for $11,500, which was about 3K off msrp due to some hail damage. Because any intake that has unshielded air filters sucking hot underhood air is garbage for a car that sees street use of any sort, no matter the perceived quality of said piece. Doubly so on a turbo engine that loves cold, dense air even more.

May not have dyno’d Like the TFS and AFR guys but never had one issue whatsoever with any of it. Good times.

Exactly. Who cares if my engine is now sucking 160 degree hot air instead of 80-100 degree air from an air box? As long as I can hear my turbos and BOV better! So pathetic.
