Not supposed to like Vettes? Please. That’s not car culture at all. Fads are for clothing, not pragmatic statistics of automobiles. Sure there’s style, design and art in the eye of the beholder, but it’s not groupthink. Think for yourself once in a while.

I’ve seen a few things after my years of working at a dealership:

‘70 Barracuda convertible with a SLANT 6.

I’d like to think the husband then stepped out of the supply room with the receptionist he actually was banging after his wife left, and someone had placed a note in his desk letting him know she dropped by.

Re: the Forester guy, did he think the lease included 36,000 mi/yr?

It was a long time ago but IIRC his rate was $0.26 per mile over the 36k - his best option was just to buy out the lease rather than pay $15k+ and not get to keep the car

We had one, now how many dealers we went through to find it, that is a whole separate story.

I had wanted to check out the new BRZ, same story. Car is on order only, so the salesman tells me that there will never be one for me to test drive or even to sit in. So i was like ok.. Ill go shop somewhere else.

I used to work at Tesla in the early days, and would moonlight for sales on the weekend doing test drives and evaluating trade-ins. One Day a Russian lady came into the dealer with her used model s and wanted to trade it in for a new one. It was odd to us because she had only bought it six months ago.

North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Yeah, I did it for exactly the same reason. Allowed me time to slow-browse and look for options that *might* have been sitting longer to make a offer on those units - but this was preapocalypse .

The most important thing Americans need to learn, and learn fast, is this notion that “this could never really happen here”. Even in this article there are some aspects that are being dismissed like this. As survivors of WWII keep telling you, this is *precisely* what happened in Germany, there was initial mockery of

I know, right?  The further dumbing down of America--right here.

Your username calls your dietary preferences into question. Especially when it comes to meats of uncertain provenance (another good band name).

Sike? Do you mean to say “Psych”? Or was it something else? “Sike” is noun Scot. and North England.

If a racetrack doesn’t exist where you can pay $10-20/month for access, then a toll road won’t either. There is just not enough demand for a site like this. No property owner could afford the liability and maintenance costs of a paved track like you describe...

Did you just wake up from a coma?

How is that worse? It’s significantly more equitable because a traffic fine hurts people more fairly. In the US a speeding ticket for a poor person could be devastating, for a rich person they won’t even give a fuck. Now if the fine is scaled so that it financially harms them by saying taking an equal percentage of

Comparing the hoodline to the bottom of the moose fuselage is especially instructive. You take those long spindly legs out from under it and the massive moose fuselage comes into the cabin.
