Nobody  mutters, “sorry your dick isn’t working” when you drive one.

Its a Catch-22 I think. You’re clearly correct that it would make these cars much more fun, interesting, and reliable for their 2nd/3rd owners. But if manufacturers did that the cars would never sell to their 1st owners, who primarily just want an A-to-B appliance with a warranty an a service plan.

or I know how contraception works.

Wtf... this is just odd. You think people actually care that you’re able to pump out too many babies?

Wife made you buy a minivan, huh?  ;)

The going rate here in California is generally around $96 an hour. A lot of dealers charge a “Minimum” of 1 hour, regardless of the fact that some jobs take 15 minutes, and so customers simply walk away. The largest Ford dealership in the world in one of those with a 1 hour minimum, and you wondert why people avoid

My logical side says “Stop building right on the beaches!” We really need to be moving back not building up.
My class-warfare said says “Smile as your millions sink into the sea. Good luck with the insurance”.

It’s a quandary

My doctor assured me that I will never have to worry about this.

If you put one of those on a car, the recoil force would rocket the car backwards at fairly high velocity, no matter what else you were doing at the time.

That’s the amount transferred to the states. Then they have to go through the process of deciding where to build, contract out the work, etc. That takes a lot of time. They’re not building charging stations within days or week of getting the funding.

My Chevy mechanic (not dealer) charges $150/hr here in MA. $140/hr for a McLaren is a goddamn steal.

1st gear

I was going to come here to craft a thoughtful, fact-filled comment about how these policies will only give the rest of the world — and our enemies — a huge head start, how military readiness and capability will be diminished, and how it would be far better to listen to what the commanders on the field think our

I once heard it summed up as “if a car isn’t designed with crumple zones, you’re the crumple zone.”

I had a homebuilt Lotus 7 for 25 years on bartender’s wages. It can be done.

Are you asking if Scottie (a habitual liar from rural Kentucky) owned a one-off special Syclone made by Gale Banks for a land speed record attempt? Please. Besides, even if he did acquire it back in the late-90s there isn’t a road long, straight, or level enough in this county to hit that speed in probably any car.

Years ago, in the aftermath of a snowstorm, I get caught behind someone who can’t make it up a gentle hill because someone decided commuting in their M3 on summer tires was a good idea. I have nothing better to to, so help push them to the top of the hill just to get them out of the way. Just as we finish, one of

Some people are just clueless. Acquaintance bought a CRV last weekend. Walked in to dealer, no appointment or previous contact, on a Saturday. Didn’t have financing lined up, nor did he know his credit score. FICO came in way lower than he thought it would be. Several texts later I advised he walk and reconsider
