people have to break out of this ‘lucky enough to have a job’ mindset. that’s 5 years ago talking. the unemployment rate is at 4.4%!
here’s what i do: lots of long weekends in the summer. it really helps to look forward to a bunch of three-day or four-day weekends. and you’re not eating up a bunch of PTO nor do you feel guilty like you HAVE to go somewhere, as it’s only three days.

Your take on Obama deals with his decisions post-presidency. He can do whatever he wants. It’s a big stretch to say he’s a powerful person still. In what ways? He doesn’t have any control over our gov’t. He’s now just a smart, seasoned celebrity.

If people learned lessons, no one would text and drive after almost rear-ending someone, no one would speed in the snow after briefly skidding out of control, no one would speed after getting a speeding ticket, no one would drink and drive after not really remembering how they got home the night before, etc. Yet, all…
it’s definitely idiotic. what’s more idiotic? knowing it’s going to happen and accelerating into the situation to righteously beep your horn. that’s not going to correct what’s happening across the country, it’s making a dangerous situation worse.
