Did you edit your last comment? Because it makes me "I'm not an American" comment seem seriously random.

They were not going to try and re-home the dog; they were just following protocol and trying to be kind to some devastated owners. If you pick up a dog from a shelter, and decide you can no longer keep them you’re instructed to return the dog to the shelter.

It’s sad, but euthanasia is by far the better option in cases like that. I’m very sorry for the OP and what she and her partner went through, but the bravest decision would be to put down the dangerous dog. I know it sucks and is BY FAR the hardest decision ever, to put a healthy and otherwise happy animal down, but

As a dog rescuer I will say that if the shelter is worth anything at all they will know that he should not be going to a new home.

Same. The state shouldn’t be in the business of murdering its citizens. We have enough citizens murdering other citizens already, case in point.

I live in Colorado, and I remember waking up the morning after this happened and hearing the news. Texts from my mom, getting on the computer and reading what happened... feeling like I needed to bear witness while the details rolled in. I remember being so scared that someone I knew had been there, checking with my

I am relieved that he was found guilty, but I am, as always, completely against the death penalty.

I am going with dulling. My grandpa could eat rhubarb straight. Munching on it like it was something palatable. A salt shaker and some rhubarb. I think my distrust of his palette kept me from trying the weird cherries he ate. Now I can’t believe how many summers pasted before I began eating my weight in Rainier

As pointed out, there’s no coincidence to find hilarious. His manner of dress has nothing to do with how slaveowners dressed. It’s more likely that he’s dressing the way he is deliberately and you simply don’t know enough to comment on this properly than it is that he’s unintentionally dressing like a slaveowner

Wait, is this a troll post? Because accusing a black man dressing like a slave owner as a joke is messed up.

Remember in one of the later Little House books, where Laura makes the “pie plant” pie for the workers and they all choke it down politely, and she realizes afterwards that she forgot to put the sugar in? Pie plant=rhubarb.

He has said he carries a cane in honor of his father, who carried one, so this makes sense to me.

Eh, I find the insinuation lacking in ya know - an understanding of his heritage and fashion history.

Or, if anything like my grandfather (or for that matter my father), he totally remembered it wrong and his mother DID make it with strawberries, which was the taste he was missing.

In before people talk about his name.

Old people love candy and sweets from back before sugar was readily available and the only ice cream flavor available was Turnip. My grandma, a lovely, wonderful person, loved those Riesen Chocolate Nightmare Candies, and also black licorice.

Dude’s owning that shit. It’s ballsy as hell. I love it.

Here’s my impression of you: “Oooo, look at me, I’m MrDineo and I hate fruit.” That’s okay, though. More pie for bears and me!

Counterpoint: My vasectomy was painless.
