My husband had to turn off NPR the other morning because he thought I was going to have a rage stroke yelling at Walker on the radio. I really, really hate this man.

It’s a hand tattoo, so hardly forever, at least not in any legible form. There’s a reason it’s barely visible a few years later. Which isn’t to say it’s a good decision.

her extensions look really good.

I like this, I like it a lot. Whenever people ask me what I’ll do if I eventually regret my tattoo I say, “Look, I have all kinds of marks on my body that I didn’t ask for and I don’t like. I have scars, I have stretch marks, funny freckles, weird bumps, whatever. Those are all permanent too. I CHOOSE my tattoo, and I

i am an nyc taxpayer. i’m pissed as fuck that the shitlord wasn’t convicted of anything and isn’t suffering for his murder, but i’m pretty okay that his widow and children are at least getting something out of this clusterfuck.

Did you miss the fact that the author was a foster kid, not a trust fund baby?

That's not actually true. Oral contracts are fully enforceable.

I would really want to read that. The same thing happens in conservatives. “Work hard and things will work for you” very quickly turns into “Someone help me, just give me money.”

So her lawyer is admitting that she didn’t have a written agreement and no promises were made. I don’t get it, how would this hold up in court?..

This is tangential to the point of the piece, but I was reminded of a little-remarked trend I’ve noticed over the years: that many people who self-identify as liberal (because they sympathize with and want to help the poor, often) start to exhibit conservative-like thinking when you dive into their beliefs. I guess

They really are only meant to be pointed to the ceiling, if you catch my drift.

Too little, too fucking late.

So basically, these bible belt states are just going to keep fucking with same-sex couples as long as they possibly can.

This is yet another reminder that, just as post-Brown, there are still plenty of legal challenges remaining. Even though they fall less in the realm of judicial opinions, and more in the realm of court orders. The legal ground is established, but there’s always the handful that don’t want to go without a fight.

People always complain about how all people do in the USA is sue other people, but don’t realize that absolutely no one will do anything until you sue them.

Oh America, please do continue to show the rest of the world how you’re a leader in freedom and social justice.

like, I wouldn’t sneeze at $8500 if someone were to offer it to me no strings attached

All that work for fucking $8500????

This is the same thing I said about the Baltimore riots. People were like, “How is this helping anything? They’re just fucking up public and private property.” Well, maybe when the state has to invest money to repair the damages they’ll rethink how to handle these situations so they don’t lead to more riots?

I think the offering a cell phone as collateral would have convinced me—I don’t think I would have thought the phone could have been stolen.
