@corpore-metal: Well that's the whole point of science, ideally: to falsify hypotheses. A hypothesis that can't be falsified isn't scientific.

@medriza: Science: n. A branch of knowledge or study dealing with Alexander Skarsgard's unit.

@Zachery M.: If you extrapolated it far enough, you could potentially find the critical mass for cyclical editorializing.

@Brett Ryans: The point is willingness to greenlight and invest money into the film, which is all about the studios' state of mind. Actual results after money is invested are irrelevant to this argument.

@Brett Ryans: Your looking at it anecdotally, which is confusing the issue. At the time, nobody wanted to touch a movie like x-men, because it meant a huge investment into something that - as far as the studios knew - was only interesting to a fringe audience. And as far as they knew, the average joe couldn't tell

@ShadowStaarr: It was like a perfect storm of inanity.

@DARTH_TIGRIS: that would be what would have to happen, but Avengers would need to be hugely successful, and there would need to be an identifiable tie between the film's success and Marvel's world building (which is easier said than done, even if it's hailed as a success). Basically, the other studios need a major

@DARTH_TIGRIS: That would be indy 4 you're talking about.

@ShadowStaarr: I thought their audience were the mongoliods who enjoy the "___ Movie" series...

@showbiz2: and we are all incredibly disappointed in you.

@eforhan: And 90s. Hell, it's the entire theme of every slasher movie, and cleverly undermined by "Scream" - the only slasher parody I will ever acknowledge the existence of.

@Chaoticevl: It might have been purple if you had a terrible TV :p

@edixoo: Also, The Simpsons. Also, Ninja Turtles mutagen. So yeah, basically it's a pop culture thing.

@thexpert : casts lightning bolt!: I don't know. Probably a major impact like pharago said. Although in my mind, after read that I can't possibly help but imagine the Earth as a giant Transformer.

@vinylrake: It looked like the weapon feature is activated via backpedaling. Theoretically, you could have the best of both worlds!

@TheFirstBardo: I don't think commenters willing to write fourteen paragraphs after deleting ten paragraphs will ever be in danger of losing their star :p

@thefloodgod: The way copyright law is being manipulated both in Washington and in the public mindset to basically be an easier-to-swallow container for monopolies is a perfect example of how your money=speech hypothesis applies to current events.

It's such a lame thing, comparing something new to something popular that it's similar to...but my god, I just can't look at anything about "No Ordinary Family" and not think of The Incredibles. It's impossible.

@omgwtflolbbqbye: Yeah, basically comic book movies are just becoming places where great actors go to get screwed over.

@n3onkn1ght: By "Better" we mean, "compared to the utter crap the writers came up with", rather than "better" in an absolute sense.
