I'm afraid I don't get that reference.

What's the name of the blue (3rd) one? I know it was featured on Jalopnik before but I haven't been able to find the article, and it's been driving me nuts for months
Agreed. VW's rise is pretty phenomenal at the moment, and I can easily foresee them eventually becoming the new #1. Whether or not they'll let things degenerate the way Toyota has though, remains to be seen (though I'm optimistic about it).
What country are you from, if you don't mind me asking? Somewhere in Europe?
Yup, same car as you guys, but they're sold under their own names, with the Auris ~S$15,000 more. This is Singapore though, so a jump from S$130k to S$145k isn't that big.
That's absolutely stunning! It's farting rainbows!
You should take a look at this article of this same video; it's a VERY fascinating read. If you're one of those who've always taken for granted those awesome dynamic shots of aircraft in-flight, prepare to have your mind blown.

Congrats. You just made all the other people in the library look at me funny because I burst out laughing
Not gonna comment on looks, because that's subjective, but to sit in and drive, the Auris does lag behind the competition. The publication I interned at earlier this year did a group test for the Auris, Golf and Hyundai i30 and I was lucky to be a part of it.
Same here in Singapore, although our version, shared with the rest of SE Asia, is badged 'Corolla Altis'. The Altis has been a staple of the market for many years for pretty much the same reasons you described: Reliable, spacious, a safe choice. This year though they introduced the Auris as well and it's marketed as a…
Incredible shots. But I still don't quite understand how the crash could be so bad. I can imagine the car fishtailing on landing before sliding across the grass and hitting the trees side-on, but from the pictures there doesn't seem to be any particularly solid tree near them...
So I guess this is how the Brits do it?
I spy a salvageable headlight!
But it was pretty cool to see just how much abuse the suspension managed to take. Proud that, at the very least, the Landie died fighting.
Ignore these ten things on your car, and you endanger your car, yourself, and others. Jalopnik readers point out the key items you need to check on your car.
Yeah, that car will make you do strange things...
Totally spot on with that remark. My unabashed love for the F50 comes from the first PC game I ever had:
To you or anyone that's done this before: typically how far can you get before completely melting through the tray? I've tried it in my dad's MPV but at best can only get through 3 turns before I hear the rear tyres howling:
Cool, I actually saw one of those record-setting cars when I was at the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart earlier this year. I'm curious as to how they were modified (if at all), since the suspension has been quite significantly lowered, and the rims have had their holes filled in.
Eh, Singapore still comes out top trumps. S$ 490,000 here, or US$ 386,500
