Good call with the description of Hades as a visual novel. My wife was watching me play it last night and I got to the point where Zag replays what started his quest, and she got invested in the story despite not playing games like that or liking the setting (it “creeps her out” despite it being about as lighthearted

The argument about the bones being old on the 400Z are bonkers to me. Nissan is offering a *light weight, RWD, manual, easily wrenchable, cheap to own, 400hp tuner car at a *modest price (*relative to the competition like this Supra)... and people are still complaining. Why? It’s a jalop’s dream.  And it looks darn

5th:

These were so much better before Patrick left. Here’s the one I found with 12 seconds of research with his name attached:

This has nothing to do with Uber, and everything to do with the fact that Raph couldn’t logically reason himself out of a paper bag.

Headlights, intake, wheels, and grille inserts are easy to revert back to stock. Lowish mileage, rebuilt motor, apparently decent overall condition... but that’s still a lot of money for the performance.

NP for a Honda fan, ND for everyone else.

I like Patrick and Stef's writing.  Not sure what they have to do with the article title.

I think you meant, sorry I put something completely unrelated to the article in the headline.

What about all that "almost broke Jalopnik" though?  I reread this a few times and not seeing it.  Might be my lack of comprehension though.

I don't understand this article. Why didn't you publish something earlier?  It wasn't as perfect as you'd hoped and hyped and you didn't want egg on your faces?

I’ve always had a soft spot for the C5. I really like the simplicity of the styling and it’s aged fairly well for a 90's design. Side profile, especially with the T-tops off, is beautiful.

I’d still never drive one though.

The only way it adds up is if you want *everything*. If you’re ok with getting a Sling package with ESPN for sports, a channel or two for kids, and a channel or two for adults... then pick a Netflix/Prime/Hulu for on demand stuff, and you’re at maybe $45. That’s still half the price that cable used to be and gives

Raph is just a hack, no other way to put it.

Many of the writers here thoroughly panned the Cybertruck for being too weird, and now we’re being told the F-150 EV is bad for presumably being too normal. One day GM is bad for not having an EV strategy, and then the next day they are bad for having a comprehensive

If you’re pressing this hard on practicality, either you know the design is so interesting that you don’t need to sell it at all, or it’s so dull and boring that you need to pitch on any other angle to help it along.

Agreed, at least on the exterior. It looks very similar but I don’t see anything re-used.

Interior... ehhhh. Looks like they changed things nominally. The hoop door latches could be the same part number for example. But otherwise they just phoned it in there, big disappointment.

Nah, it’s just Erik. The dude is full blown negative nancy about life in general. It’s literally depressing reading most of his stuff.

But I suppose Raph also has a thing for hating.  He’s taken up the anti-captalist mantle that whats-his-face dropped on his way out.  Balaban, yeah that was it.

I like that they kept some Z-specific things like the triple center gauge cluster, the window kink/roofline, the square grille area and no faux vents anywhere. I like the tail nods to the Z32. I like the unique light signature in the DRLs. I absolutely adore that profile.

The only thing I really am not feeling is just

Sorry, I meant “the comments section on The Drive is not as good as what we have at Jalopnik.”

I lazy fewer words.

Plus, in THPS you can have fun without having to be “good”. I loved SFII back on the Genesis when I was younger with kids on my block, but trying to play SFIV when it came out reminded me that I wouldn’t have much fun online unless I studied and practiced.

THPS is fun just to ride around, listen to the music, pull off

I’m sure you know, but just because there is a workaround for a new thing doesn’t mean people can’t and shouldn’t complain about having to use said workaround.

I habitually would type in “Giz” or “Jal” into my search bar and it would pull up things in nice chronological order. Or on mobile just tap and navigate to
