Yes but, those are not zipping around smallish lakes in the Midwest. At least, I’ve never seen one in the 30 years I’ve been frequenting them.

Like sailboats going 50-60mph.
So actually no, not at all like sailboats.
I suppose you’re right. I sailed a bit in my college years, so the motors were audible, but not much you can do if someone under power is coming at you (hence you having the right of way). Same with being on a canoe or something like that. But yeah, in a power boat or jet ski, you’ll see before you hear so this…
Why would that matter? Do we reserve judgement on commenting on vehicle aesthetics until we’ve seen a documentary on the designers’ vision?
I see a bland, anonymous car with next to zero detail below the wheel arch. Raise your eye level to the first row of headlights, and it’s as basic of a “car” as you can get.…
I’ve grown up going to lakes/public beaches with boats and whatnot at least a few times a summer, but I’m not a boater myself. So with that disclaimer... would you be worried about the silent nature of EVs on the water? Any chance that could lead to accidents?
Indeed. You aren’t going to find one in good shape for under 10k that also isn’t ready to blow some combination of head gasket and turbo.
Also that USB-C port is probably worthless as I doubt it universally supports the various “quick” charging capabilities of different phone makes. It’s already a pain finding car chargers that support your specific model’s proprietary gigavoltohmage that will let the phone actually quick charge.
My only complaint is how they feel more like piloting a really agile tank, rather than aiming a scalpel compared to my current toy. Maybe that’s due to size, maybe weight, but I prefer driving a smaller and lighter vehicle even if I’m giving up half a second to 60mph.
Thanks, this should have been the lead image.
Also, it looks better before. The “redesign” makes it a bland bar of soap that’s way too topheavy in details. They basically just took an eraser to the bottom half of the car.
I think what he’s saying is it is not an SNES mod. It’s not a mod to the SNES, it’s a mod to SNES emulators.
I could leave work right now and be back with a Stinger by lunch; that’s not the point. Buying brand new cars is such a waste of money (to me) and the key word of my comment was “justify” :) I could justify spending 40k on a new car if I won the lottery. Otherwise? My rational brain wouldn’t let me do it since I know…
I dunno, having toddlers running up to me screaming “daddy!” and giving me huge hugs and belly laughs when I pick them up after coming home from a long day at work ranks slightly above “sheer drudgery”.
Man, I love me some Creamsicle paint. I really need to win the lottery to justify buying this thing.
This...
Around here, they’re called scotcheroos. Butterscotch+PB+rice crispies, then you melt a layer of chocolate over the top.
There was a story on Jalopnik last week about a building exploding due to a natural gas pipe being punctured killing at least one, and Jalopnik was combing through live helicopter feeds to focus on a few old cars that got damaged in a building next door before it was even known how many people died/were injured.…
*slow clap*
Patrick, this brings a tear to my Z-loving eyes. But not a good tear. Just a single sad tear slowly running down my cheek. I’m hoping against hope that the new Nissan bossperson will restore some respectability to the Z nameplate.
And if not... well I guess my Z33 will stick around until they outlaw…
They pushed the greenhouse back. The CTS was closer to a 3 box... and the sloping hood hood and trunk made the whole car appear to droop on boot ends. Sort of egg-like.
Eh, I think it looks great. They’re finally getting away from the primarily vertical lighting we’ve had since the CTS debuted in Reloaded. The flatter hood and more raked a pillar really helps get away from the egg shape their sedans have had as well. The only thing that isn’t doing it for me is the tail lights.
Yeah but... all 12 or whatever minutes of it? I had hoped for at LEAST teh GIF footage at the end.
