Is that a new clothing label?
Is that a new clothing label?
I’m trying to figure out what counts as coaching.
Congrats. Your “but what about Osaka?” concern-trolling and Purity of the Game logo have convinced me it is, in fact, time to go home and leave the commentariat to those with more energy.
I’m not sure what your point is here.
This is what I can’t understand as a white person that grew up poor and rural...the fear of the criminal black man and the Reagan welfare queen motivated 85%+ of voting in my hometown despite the fact we were jobless, toothless and gladly shoveling away our tax dollars to corporate interests.
I think you summarized it pretty well. I’d say, as a Gen X white person, that it’s especially true for people of the previous generation...the world has catered to them, for all their lives, and they can’t comprehend that being asked to share isn’t the same thing as being removed completely.
Well said. I think Serena earned her fine, because she was in violation of the rules, but at the same time, the authorities let such behavior slide quite often and it’s created this mess.
Yeah, why would we talk about the actual story when there’s a third party with tangential involvement to the rules violation to bring up?
I’d agree. I’ve seen a lot of armchair lawyers parsing the rules to show that what she did was an infraction, but that’s only half the question. The differential treatment is far and away my larger concern.
Being related to some hardcore CBS viewers, they were already saying it’s a conspiracy and it’s obvious these women (who they know nothing about) are just in it for the money.
Some agitating young guy ought to petition to get the union decertified or try to get UAW or Teamsters to represent his position. The idea that “Football Player” is a homogenous class for one bargaining unit is a little far fetched.
I’m married to a Steeler fan who is mad at Bell and it’s getting to be a sore point at home. Not every Steeler fan is a mouthbreather mad at a black guy for getting “uppity” and dreaming of bathing in Cowher spittle but even the most earnest I-just-want-to-win fan seems to be veering into dog whistle territory in…
There really ought to be a decertification suit by those backup lineman because the union isn’t representing them. Of course, a union of linemen wouldn’t have nearly the bargaining weight of the whole, but sometime that’s the balance to be tested.
I don’t know about this place, but some places have laws that “off duty” really means “on duty” if it needs to. Like sometimes that bouncer that punches your friend in the face so your friends hits back ends up with an assaulting an officer charge. Hypothetically.
That sums up my feelings, I guess, now that I see it put into words.
It is possible to be so bad that the loot is not worth the aggravation, if there’s any at all. “Booed off the stage” bad, I mean.
Disarmingly charming. That’s the phrase I have to use for this powerful dork.
If it gets her off Project Runway, she can host all the celeb fluff chats she wants.
I am the worst Crucible player ever. I don’t know what it is about me that makes me incapable of having a reaction time in a PvP, but it’s just an endless cycle of getting supered to death or shotgunned. So I really like your question—I stopped playing in part because there was nothing a player of my limited skill…
I’m interested to hear what you get for responses, as I’m in a similar place.
