I’d forgotten about that show. Now I’m more sad.

I’m from a rural area where our schools were generally too small to have football teams. I grew up with it on tv, but it just wasn’t a thing, especially once hockey season started.

I laughed at least as long as a Pitino tryst at that one.

Saying they should keep playing five because their have been memorable fives...won’t there be memorable threes? These people are looking at a closed set of five set matches and saying that it’s better without any actual comparison. Why not make it best of 17, then, and get even more tennis? My dad never wore the USAF hat I got him, proud of his service, because he felt it was awkward to have strangers talking to him out of the blue about his time in uniform.

That’s my issue, too.

It was all power tripping.

My mother, at that point in her life, had never met an authority figure of any sort with which she would disagree. Fortunately she’s changed some over the years.

When I was a teen, I was in a local drug store with a parent and sibling and, as we left, the clerk chased us out to say he saw me pocket something and patted me down as he threatened to call the cops. I didn’t have anything and, in all my rage and embarrassment as friends and neighbors drove by, didn’t get the

Correction: Southern border. My lily-white ancestors walked across the northern border, took up residence without documents, and no one has ever questioned us at all.

There’s something special about watching strong performances from these women on courts named for black men. It touches my old cold heart.

My wife’s family are all Steeler fans.
