I don't think a lack of pre-orders would have prevented this at all. The reason this happens is that publishers don't give a fuck about PC releases.

I can’t think of too many times that a title was not only pulled from a storefront, but also removed from users’ download archive. Wasn’t there an iOS title from Square Enix or another company a few years back that this happened to? Or am I imagining things?

"Replace Solid Snake's model..."

Wii U: $330 (approx. with tax)

"Kept you Smashing, huh?"

I'm more hoping that the return of jumping will be well thought out and feel right. Platforming was my least favorite part of VI through Origin and I didn't miss it in Seven and Memories of Celceta.

That is your opinion...and I can respect that.

Shepard is who you make it. Both are equally good and important.

How funny the timing is on this. I checked homestarrunner.com last night before bed, thinking about if the site would ever see an update.

I love this post so much. I remember seeing (and getting into a few) arguments like these back in grade school. Me and my roommate have mock arguments in this tone all the time.

This is more to the tune of Sega writing a check that they realized they couldn't cash. They will piss off people anyways if they cancel a Western release, but it is good form to be upfront about it. Anything else makes them look bad and they can use all the fan and public goodwill they can get.

I'm not seeing anything wrong with this. As far as I can recall, there is only one main mission. If that takes almost two hours (potentially three), that's not too bad at all. And we know there are some side missions available to do, though I don't think we have heard about how many are available.

And now I cannot stop laughing.

Holy shit, I am glad this GIF made its way off of /wooo/. Bravo for posting this (with its new Steambox additions).

I was looking at these and, before I got down here to the comments, I said to myself: "The one thing that would give away that these are renders is the hair.'

Take it outside, weeaboo.

Is that supposed to be an Ultraman?

Auto-aim has been a series staple since MGS3. Everything else sounds fine to me. By release, I'm sure the detection evasion system will be well-tuned. I expect that for Extreme difficulty (should there be one), the evasion system won't be available at all.
