I think the price will be the biggest draw to the Maverick.  It allows people to drive a truck on a budget that will be reliable and do what most normal people need out of a truck.  It will not cannibalize new F150 sales because this is in a whole different league, but it might bring a bunch of used truck buyers into

From that standpoint, I think the Maverick still ticks the boxes. If its close to the fuel economy that the Bronco Sport/Escape get, then it will be a lot more economical than the compact trucks from the 80s/90s as well as the current crop of full size and mid sized trucks.

Totally makes sense.  I have to imagine if you have a fleet that needs small vans and larger vehicles, you would go to the manufacturer that covers all of your bases.

Marketers say that because it is the truth. Fleets and like 12 other old men pining for the good ‘ol days are the only people that want regular cab truck

I can build a new kitchen table out of hardwood for only $100...after I spend $600 on a table saw, $150 on a router, $600 on a planer...

Its the comment section of a blog, I didn’t realize I needed to use proper grammar and format in APA format.

The law enforcement problem in the US starts with the police and ends with the judges that justify their bad behavior, and all of the shitbag prosecutors and underfunded public defenders in-between.

Came for this, am satisfied.

Goddammit Karen, who let you in?

Jalopnik on Tuesday: God why are all cars Gray?

I have never driven one of these in a manual, but I did drive a Dart and a 500L with the same powertrain. I always felt like the gear spread between 1 and 2 was too wide so you would lose all of your torque and momentum.

The number of times I had to thump a starter with a hammer when I drove a tow truck would boggle some of these young kids minds.

Have you ever even owned a carbureted vehicle? Because I am old enough to remember when cars that were but a few years old wouldn’t start because it was a little too cold outside or the carb was flooded, or maybe the spark plugs had more than 10k miles on them.

looks like the middle east based on what looks like the fuel pump on the left side of the picture.

Came here for this, did not leave disappointed.

You too?  I thought I was the only one who did that yesterday.  High five!

The last I heard/saw, that is the plan.

This was in the year 2000, so I did not have a camera on my Nokia.

It was just a cylinder head on a spin fixture, no engine.

Sounds like they are going to keep world headquarters, the train station, and the PDC complex with the new reimagined PDC building as the centerpiece.  I expect all the labs in the area and NMPDC to stay, but I am sure the Fairlane mall and all the buildings by the Lions facility will be gone.
