This is what I am waiting for.  My employer has us home until July 2021, but said that we will be location flexible moving forward beyond that.  My daughter graduates high school in 2.5 years, and that frees me to move from my current location.  Part of me wants to move to the southwest where its not so cold, but I

Y’all commenting are waaay to sensitive about what other people think.  I really could not care any less what you do in the car with your mask on.

Neutral:

I bet it has more to do with CAFE and the fact that heavy duty vehicles do not have fuel economy standards, so there is no benefit to the company to go down this path yet.

Certificates are usually received the day of production or very close to it due to the backlog at EPA/CARB.  On carryover product the numbers won’t change, but on new vehicles you have to wait for approval to publish.

I have worked in emissions certification, and on diesels (Thanks VW!) the agencies spend extra time reviewing the emissions applications.  Generally applications are submitted months before OKTB and I have spent more than one evening sending notification to an assembly plant that they can build because everyone is

And if they refreshed them, they would have spent money on vehicles that don’t return a profit.

Nice to see more Michigan people here at Jalopnik. I must have missed your intro blog post.

All these comments about not trusting the camera are sad and really reflect how much people are scared of change, or having to show off how tough you are that you don’t need modern conveniences.

Same. Use my camera every time I parallel park or hitch a trailer.  My dad was a truck driver, and I also have a CDL, so I learned how to back up with mirrors, not turning my body.  In my F150, I always use all the tools at my disposal when I reverse: Side mirrors, rearview mirror, camera.  I pan through them all to

Well the actual definition of a blind spot is exactly that, a blind spot.  In some cars its difficult to see whether you turn your head or you look in the mirror.

E450 is in fact the highest for the E-Series

Just went through this with my parents. My mom passed away last year and my dad was left with a 2016 Focus and a 2014 Dodge Caravan with Braun Entervan conversion with like 100o miles on it.

I have sold two vehicles with loans through Ford Credit. One I was above water on and sold to drive a car I had paid-off already, and the other one I sold during COVID for right about what I owed on it because I got a company car.

F150 is the same.  I know somebody who has A-plan and an F150 was $800/mo with $1000 down.  For an XLT with a sticker around $55k.

I have FordPass and Securicode on both of my Fords, and the app takes a long time to connect to the server and respond to lock/unlock the car. Probably 15-30 seconds.  Its great when I worked in an office and wanted to start my truck in the winter, or if I forget to lock my truck and I don’t have my keys with me, but

As others have said, you can program your own code in, but in my experience, I just use the factory code.  I store the number in my phone notes, and after a couple times I just remember it.

Same. I use mine mostly when I run, or if I need to grab something out of my truck and don’t have my keys in my pocket. Its really convenient when my wife and I both go for a run together, since we run at different paces and distances, and we arrive at the car at different times.  Whoever gets their first can get in

1st gear - I thin GM can try to implement single pricing all they want, but based on antitrust laws, the dealer can choose to price however they want.  Now GM could choose to not let them sell Hummers after that, but GM does not have the legal foothold to require it.

A lot of problems like this are related to production issues, not necessarily design. Like I bet the strut design is robust, but the manufacturer had a quality control issue.
