I commented elsewhere, but I think a portion of police funding should go to a team of individuals that have medical training and understand how to deal with mental illness, and they are dispatched to resolve issues like this.

I think the issue everyone is having is that they are thinking within the confines of the police officer box, where all public assistance comes in the form of a law enforcement official.

It is gimmicky.  I feel like 4 wheel steering systems have been around for a long time, but they never really go mainstream.  I bet it has to do with the limited usefulness of them.

This is old news.  My dad bought an HHR back in 2010 and it had the ability to crab walk to the left on the freeway fresh from the assembly plant.

I mean, he is an attorney.  I bet he knows some tricks.

Yep. Hammered, hit a person and figured if he said it was a deer but didnt do anything about it until the morning then he would be sober by then.

Somebody has been watching too much Tommy Boy...

I was being generous, although in a vehicle like the Bronco I could see upwards of 10% taking it.  I think the Jeep has like a 15% take rate on the manual.

Considering I have worked in the auto industry for 20+ years, and that I work in safety investigations/recall administration for an OEM, I am well aware of how the manufacturer/dealer relationship works.  While there are a lot of opportunities for improvement, I am pretty sure the Big 3 would have advocated for a

I have never been there. It was more of a general disdain for people who move next to a racetrack then complain that it sounds like a racetrack, or people who build next to a farm then complain that it smells like a farm.

That is really just an illusion though, since its not like the v8 was going to have a carburetor or points.  Neither vehicle is going to be getting fixed on the side of the trail if anything in the engine fails.

They lost money on every Fiesta they made. So how does it make sense to spend the millions of dollars to invest in the development of a V8 Bronco to sell maybe 20k per year at a loss, while having to sell 50k Fiestas at a loss to offset it.  All to quiet down the interwebs trolls who weren’t going to buy either.

I came and shared the same figures as you in response to somebody else. I drive a 2019 F150 with a 2.7 EB, and I honestly don’t miss anything about my Hemi Ram besides the exhaust note. I get 19.5 MPG real world combined, and it drops into the 18s towing a 3500 lb boat. I laugh at the people complaining that Ford came

65% of F150s have an Ecoboost engine.  In the travel trailer group I am in, guys are regularly towing 30' trailers through the mountains with them and not having an issue.  I am sure this will do fine in the mall parking lot in Denver.

Back in 2018, only 25% of F150s were still V8, compared to like 65% with the EcoBoost. And here we are talking about a smaller, lighter vehicle that when it debuts will have the most powerful engine in its class. The idea that it needs to have a V8 I think is based of of the subset of people who expected a return of

“If you just don’t commit crimes then you have nothing to worry about”

I think this is the biggest hurdle to overcome, but one that is necessary for any type of equality between civilians and the police.

Same fragile ego-maniac attitude Musk has...

However, they have done a decent job of atoning for this doing what the government told them they have to do, nothing more, nothing less.

I know this annoys me to no end.  I literally want zero notifications besides when I get a text or phone call.  I will check everything else when I fucking want to.
