The thing is this guy is doing it on side roads in neighborhoods or on windy roads with no idea what’s ahead of him like the bicyclists in those videos for example. It just seems like a bad wreck waiting to happen.

Speeding is nothing, you’re right...until someone on a bike, in a car or on foot comes out of a side street or alley way unexpectedly into his path. You can have all the skill in the world but you still can’t control the unknown.

I may be salty because a friend of mine’s father was just killed by some idiots who thought F-ing around on “deserted” road was ok. Didn’t save him as they crested the hill on their bikes over 100mph, hitting his lawn tractor and him, killing him instantly.

Sure, I agree that as someone that could potentially be a role model of some sorts maybe he shouldn’t be doing that.

What makes breaking one law ok, but the other 2 not?

Amen brotha, to me he seems like the Guy Fieri of the car review world.

If there’s no one around to notice is it also ok to kill someone?

“You wouldn’t even have half of the current car culture in the US today if Japanese respected that 25mph speed limit in the mountains.”

I daily drive a Viper and don’t have any issues following the speed limit. I sometime just have more fun getting to it than others. Sometimes it’s also just the way a car feels and drives that makes it fun.

If there’s no one around to notice is it also ok to kill someone? Or rob a bank?

Silicone Valley?

Look at how much work the body mount is doing!

Using scare quotes around the word “victims” just because of you don’t approve of their sexual practices is simply slut-shaming. It’s jarring to see it in a roundup that also includes sympathetic references to two revenge porn victims. Either you’re pro-slut-shaming or you’re anti. Pick one.

Love, it’s supposedly what makes a Subaru, a Subaru.

This whole article series has been excellent. Very interesting to see a salvage high performance car bought a low price and turned to a Pikes Peak race car and then becoming the faster Corvette ever up the mountain, with room for improvement still. Please do contribute more to Jalopnik.

I’m so glad that, much like the recent Root cross-posting, we get to enjoy an extra-large heap of Jezebel in our Jalopnik posts.

Can someone explain to me why the insulting stereotypes asserted here as general facts are permissible? I am generally really impressed by Lifehacker’s forward thinking, but as a father I found this straight offensive.

Too many people don’t have their side mirrors adjusted correctly. You should not be able to see any of your car in your side mirror. Adjust the driver side mirror by moving your head near the window and angling the mirror so you can’t see the side of your car. Adjust the passenger side mirror by leaning to the

Good Lord. Hearing it off in the distance is almost haunting, then it blasts by and the goosebumps start.

Hannah, I’m disappointed in the clickbait title. Claiming these agencies “did not present evidence” is not merely misleading but untrue. You are spreading same sort of misinformation that drives clicks for conspiracy bloggers and Fox News.
