1968 Falcon - 270,400 miles and still rusting

I wouldn’t get a car too nice for your first one. You’re going to accidentally do something to it, or one of your friends will. Not like jumping it over walls, but one of the terrible drivers in the school parking lot is going to hit it or something like that. If it seems too nice to get dented, I’d look for a cheaper

I’m pretty accepting of movies, whether it be an action movie like Mission Impossible or something more artsy fartsy like Triplets of Belleville. I absolutely hated Snowpiercer. It ended, and I just wanted my time back. It really seemed like a clumsy art student’s attempt at making something “poignantwith a

In 1905 more NY Taxis were electric than any other motive power, gasoline or steam. Electric cars in general were actually very very popular, and many had ranges of over 100 miles.

Thanks Bud.

I wish I could be your friend.

Did you miss the part where they said that would be “not healthy at all”?

“I would rather watch that truck rot into the ground as I tell myself I’ll get to it one day, than potentially watch some highschooler beat the piss out of it”

Is it original paint or a repaint? I’d rather have shabby but presentable original paint than the large rust holes and complete lack of paint (or 30 year old repaint that has turned entirely matte finish) that I have currently.

I’m not sure where your comprehension train went off the tracks or why you felt like it was cool to snark at me as if I missed some obvious thing. But you said “Me either” in agreeance with $kaycog who doesn’t like stanced cars, and then “I don’t understand ‘patina’ either” and how it just means the owners are too

Patina isn’t worn out springs. It’s just a car or truck being in its original condition. A vehicle that is totally worn out to the point that it needs to be restored can have an amazing restoration, but it’ll never be quite like it was from the factory. A car that has a minimal amount of burn-through on the paint

“We can’t reverse climate change so who cares.”

My brother’s FJ40 also has a three-on-the-tree. I love the drop down lever below the dash that engages the vacuum operated four wheel drive.

My brother has taken his 1968 FJ40 on multiple 1300 mile roadtrips, as well as off-roading. The early ones like his don’t even have a tilt wheel or padded doors like the later ones. It’s not comfortable, but neither is camping and we both do that.

I take it patch panels aren’t easily available for that Cadillac? They’re all available for earlier Falcons, but the third generation is left out and non-rusty ones don’t exist. The Cadillac sure looks good in that after picture though!

God damn, you have no idea how much I feel you.

So your argument basically boils down to, you work as a contractor and have fucked up time and budgeting before, also due to some uncontrollable events, and thus you think no one else should be protected from getting fucked over by predatory companies. Why is it that you think the bar for protection for other people

HAHAHA this is laughable.

Thank you for explaining what I gave up on explaining.

I could rant for hours about it.

Oh look its -that- guy.
