I’m not even sure he’s denying science, I think he’s just okay with ending the world for everyone else’s kids so he can get business done.

I think scenery is a major component too. Of course you’re going to have a worse experience riding in a scenic car through dreary weather in Ohio than if you’re going through one of the Western states in not-slush weather.

“pointing out the hypocrisy” is not a phrase people use when they don’t care. Also, that Accord was actually in immaculate shape and was priced lower.

“My car is immaculate!”*

It’s not the coolest car ever, but I love it. And being so simple makes it so I’m never really daunted by keeping it running. Owned it for 10 years so far, and put a bit over 40,000 miles on it in that time.

Oh, good color.

I don’t even know what the heck this is, looks really fun though.

That’s some good stuff.

Get one before they get any more insanely expensive.

I support this, not because I have any fondness for that car really, but because I can’t remember the last time I saw one of those that didn’t look like a pile of crap. It’s special feeling because it’s the only nice one left on Earth.

Qdoba is now owned by the same company as Jack in the Box I believe, and their quality has dropped noticeably.

I used to be a Chipotle devotee. I grew up going to the original one in Denver before it was a chain. I have resentment against them now though, because their new CEO after the E Coli stuff moved the entire company headquarters to Orange County - where he already lived - with the excuse that Chipotle needed to be

Sometimes people just like doing things that aren’t the safest option because the happiness it brings them is worth it. Sometimes that thing is driving an older car that isn’t the safest option possible. Good luck going to the bottom of a cliff and yelling at a bunch of rock climbers that they’re stupid for not taking

If I wasn’t already devoted to the religion of 1960s economy cars and was looking for something super practical and reliable, I would totally pay $3,900 for this.

I really liked this video. It’s really fun to see cars that, instead of being weird even when they were new, were actually pretty normal when new, but just seem totally foreign now because of how old they are. Sort of like how a three-on-the-tree manual transmission was as normal as you could get for about 40 years,

“should we cut the budget for public dead body removal?”

I call it the ego vortex, where everyone in places like LA and NY just reaffirm to everyone around them that they’re in the best places on Earth, and that if you live anywhere else you don’t matter. Despite the fact that the quality of life in those places is objectively poor. I’ll take my mountains and breathing

Yeah. When you own an old car you’ve got to be careful about offending it.

I was about to post this same video, it’s much better.

You’re telling me you don’t understand how it takes more fuel to keep a 155,000 lb airplane floating in the air for hours at a time than it does to keep a short train rolling on a nearly level and very low friction surface (aka, rails)? And you’re claiming that because you don’t understand it, planes must actually be
