This. Autopilot shouldn’t mean blindly trusting a computer to control the vehicle. I doubt a pilot would engage autopilot and then watch a movie or take a nap. Computers fail, or at least bug out on occasion. I would think continuing to pay attention after engaging autopilot would be common sense, but...

This sucks. I’m almost 19, and have been attending races anywhere from 4-10 times a season since I was less than a year old. Driving through some of the surrounding areas and neighborhoods easily explains a lot of the “me, me, me” attitude going on here though.
