Yeah!

1st Gear: Ford REALLY never wants to sell me another new car ever again, huh? First they plaster the Mustang name on a fugly SUV (I have no problem with it being electric), then they do the same to the Capri (I’ve owned 8 Mustangs, three of which were Mustang IIs, and 2 Capris, and the Capris were/are the real deal

I almost bought a Ford last year and would have considered it again if not for this: Glad I decided to go with a Hyundai.

That isnt true.  I have yet to see any american auto maker come out in favor of universal healthcare.  The increase in taxes would heavily offset their contributions to healthcare plans, and particularly legacy healthcare plans.  Automakers should have been pushing for universal healthcare decades ago as it would

So, when Ford abandons DEI, all of its quality problems and warranty/recall costs will go away?

I honestly don’t see how doing anything but ignoring the few internet idiots makes any sense for any of these companies. Of course any corporation is going to make some sort of business decision around “which of these choices will make us more money” and choose to alienate the smaller group - I’m not naive enough to

There has been a solid push by right wing activists to go after DEI.  Boards and Execs are all republicans generally so the minute they thought they had cover, they did.  Rich White Men were never going to actually champion dei.

“We are mindful that our employees and customers hold a wide range of beliefs,” and we are going to cater to the bigoted ones.

Disappointed in you, Ford. You had the choice between helping people or hurting people, and you choice to hurt. You had the chance to stand up to hate or agree with it, and you agreed with it. You had the chance to take away these bigots power by simply ignoring them, but you chose to give them credibility.

This is true, I also worked as a tech at a Ford dealer and we did a little thing called PDI-post delivery inspection.  After the cars were dropped off we had to go through a PDI checklist before they ended up on the lot.    The things you mentioned would get caught in the PDI before the ended up going out to the

Anything that’s taking up 4 parking spaces. That’s usually someone’s HUGE pickup (bro-dozer) but there’s a guy at the local Lowes who takes up multiple spaces with his 2 year old Charger.  You want to keep it showroom fresh? Keep it in a garage and don’t drive it.

Honestly probably the only one is a bro dozer

Teslas are easy targets, but please be gentle. Some of us bought them a while back when we didn’t have to worry as much about the crazy Nazi running the company or the WTF Cybertruck.

Diesel pickup are cool and have their place, but these assholes rolling coal in the faces of pedestrians and cyclists can fuck off.

Cybertruck. Anyone driving one of these instantly comes across as an insecure try-hard who desperately needs attention.

My son is a tech at a Ford dealer.  This is not only a Tesla thing.  He sees stuff like this all the time.  Stickers on one side of the bed and not the other, once different colored door panels, not brand matching tires.  Do a little research and see what else you can uncover vs just shitting on the easy one.

Not a car, but a bike. Talk to me about your Harley and I 100% know we are not going to be compatible.

I have one strict rule, whatever the brand. I never buy a brand new model (or a refresh model) in its first year. Too many headaches. True for any brand (not defending Tesla here btw).

Right there with you. I always loved the Xterra and wanted one badly when they came out - especially in yellow. This one is probably too high up there in years and miles to be reliable transport, and maybe priced a little too high for someone interested in building an off-roading toy. Not familiar with the current

I mean, in most states (if not all) tinting the actual windshield IS illegal. Whether it’s enforced to any degree is another matter.
