“I can fill the baby up for $30!”

And if these things cost the airlines a 2% profit loss they’ll just raise the rates 9% to cover it.

Remember when you could get a Legacy GT Wagon with a 5-Speed? Those were they days.

Well, appearance and HP was upgraded quite a bit a few years ago. As for the name change it would help with the vibe. For instance very few people call them “Golf GTIs” they are just known as GTIs

Toyota should have changed the name of the car when they sported them up.

Enthusiasts are also begging for reasonably priced wagons, manual transmissions, lightweight convertibles, small pickups. Auto companies: “Here is an 800hp car that you can drive on highways with 65 mph speed limits. Oh it’s also $300K and you still might not get one”.

0-60 in under seven seconds? That sounds really optimistic based on traction alone due to the tire “technology” of the day.

Seriously. It’s almost like Toyota said to the designer “Make something so incredibly bad that they will upgrade the wheels before they leave the dealership”.

After spending over $40,000 on a new 4Runner in white I think they should have charged me $5000 less to deal with that stupid one-stage (no clearcoat) paint. It’s shameful that Toyota uses a one-stage paint on a car like that.

I’m waiting for the auto industry to start calling every other car a “Spider”. Hell, they already call tall, 4-door, mid-sized cars coupes.

Too soon. I mean too soon for another Ford recall.

Corvettes are only considered exclusive to guys who own Corvettes.

God yes!

No, I did not miss that. I was just pointing out the spoiler. And like most SUVs, 99.9% of the off-road models will never be driven off payment so they might as well have the spoiler too. And I don’t call myself a “car guy”, (or motorbike guy, or alpha male)... because it’s silly.

Nothing says rugged SUV quite like a front spoiler with 4" of clearance and a desktop monitor on the dash. I’m not a Toyota hater. I’ve had three Runners. I’m just disappointed as they have had twelve years to release this and it’s just not as cool as it could be. I’m sure they’ll sell very well.

Yet many will vote for one.

It feels that way but the list price on the Forester XS I bought 20 years ago was over $22K.

Too bad you can’t roll down that iPad on the dash.

Check out this disaster that killed people. Hey, maybe I can get Arizona Ice Tea to send me some tea? Now let me just add some shitty music... Ah Perfect!”

So, a gold Acura hearse that is actually a GM. What’s not to hate?! In all fairness, I like the color and I almost like the wagon-like profile. Just make it a damn wagon (and make it yourself, Honda!)
