Best term I have heard for them is “Emotional Support Trucks”. Let’s make it stick and maybe at least a couple of guys will be shamed enough by it to not buy them.

I would think that some in the city aren’t driven more than 20 miles a day. 

If you can see through the ultra-tinted glass. This freaks me out as a motorcyclist. I see cars about to pull out from side streets and I can’t tell if they are looking left, right, or down at their phone.

I was going to reply with the same sentiment. As a 7.5 owner there is no way I would trade in for Mk 8 and the only reason is the haptic controls. 

All they need to do is make the headlights round and it would be great looking.

The dealer will charge more when you buy one new because it is a “limited color” then offer you less when you trade one it because the color is “hard to sell”.

When I was a kid I remember hearing older guys saying that they’d never buy a Japanese car. I always thought it was ignorant. I just realized I have become one of them... but I feel that way about most American cars. Well, at least Chevys and Chryslers.

I would not have bought a new GTI if it didn’t have a manual.

People are going to think I’m nuts for this one but the 5th generation 4Runner. After having a couple of 3rd gens I figured the current model in the Off-Road Premium trim would be a keeper. Sure it’s a great truck but I found it larger than it needs to be and so smooth that it seemed detached from the driving…
