It’s worth noting that Im not intending to insult your car in any way! This has just kind of always been the way the market has judged 911 cabrios and targas since the air cooled days. They’re still fun cars to own. I’d be really interested if things were different suddenly with the 996 all of a sudden. 4 years ago

16k is really the maximum a 991.1 Cabrio with 105k miles is worth, and that’s with good records. $16k should get you a nice 996.1 carrera with equivalent miles, etc. Cabrios (and targas) always go for a discount. Worse to drive and far more costly to fix.

Side note: What’s the deal with all the car guys who think a rear wing is pointless on a FWD car?

liftbacks are the best backs!

OH NO. Pete needed a giant pile of CAMPING GEAR.

Yup, and trips to the council dump or Ikea, etc as well. And it’s still highly amusing on the way there or back...

“Help me MS-Paint, you’re my only hope...”

Going by the ghastly rear end, one might argue that they couldn’t but did anyway.

I wish they made a short mustang.

I agree with this, if I were in the market, especially for a turbo forester to mod, this is a great deal. But no NP by any means, and the mods would scare off any customers other than poor college kids that think they’re getting a speed demon. My only question is why not do the head gaskets when he did the belt and

Yep, exactly my thoughts. It’s not a “great deal” but it’s a very fair asking price assuming the prepurchase inspection doesn’t find any gremlins.

I think this is a rationally a $6500 car, but fans of these are not rational and someone will pay for it. CP for reality, NP for whoever buys it, and CP as my vote.

Should have had a manual, pretty sure that’s a lambo, I’d buy it if it had a manual, sexist comments about women drivers on Alanis’s article, something about the Ford GT not having a V8, trucks are too expensive and a complaint about crossposts.

The car that got me into cars could definitely do with getting the Singer treatment.

...gentleman’s clubs

Nice! And as a 997 owner I realize how much our cars are practically identical except for cosmetic things! Which is why I think 996s are destined to come up.

Except for any truck.

I think 4runner, tacoma and wrangler exceed it in value retention, especially when we start talking 100K+ mi. I know I wouldn’t want a 6 figure odometer reading on a subaru yet my wrangler has over 200k and I don’t think twice about it.
