Woah. Good call, I missed that. I’ve heard good things about the 1.0 fiesta in general.

1.0 Fiesta with a stick. 2016 for $9000 and under 10,000 miles

I have a post 2011 beetle and I’m still not sure why the car exists. It’s a golf. I got it because I could get a used one with a 2.0T and 6 speed for way less than a comparable used GTI; and it included a (wait for it) bumper to bumper warranty.

This was my first thought. Find the cleanest lowest mile element and then do this.

One thing to note is that just because you don’t have contract damages doesn’t mean you might not have a viable lawsuit for some sort of consumer protection action. The damages are usually low but attorneys can get fees; so if a dealer has really misrepresented a situation and an attorney wants to take the case; it

Or the equally solid idea; I’ve got a kid, I can drop it off at your house for a week or month.

A 944 getting passed by a van? I don’t have to go to a racetrack to see that; that can happen anywhere.

This is about as cheap as you’re going to find one and the miles aren’t too high and condition is good. From an objective point of view, yeah, seems NP. As much as I agree with the people who point at a Boxster or Cayman or Lotus as a cheaper and more maintainable choice; I don’t think any car is quite a small much of

This is a gloriously on point question.

I don’t think so, he bought one of the faster 944s and a bunch of 944 dudes were crapping their pants that their cars might actually appreciate. It’s been like two years, nothing yet...

Man, I go down this worm hole sometimes. Do yourself a favor and buy a Boxster and spend your middle years driving quickly.

My wife still can’t comprehend that there are cool Ford focuses; she’d be shocked to know that in some world men enjoy the idea of a scantily clad woman humping one. I’m not going to bring it to her attention though.

Let me just answer for a whole lot of people over the last ten years; an air cooled Porsche.

Cool? Yes but I have a hard time thinking of it as the most special. I could build something fairly similar in my garage with some spare time. I could not build an M3 because there is no way I’m getting my hands on an E30 M3 engine and body.

I like this second only to my clown shoe suggestion.

I think the 944 S2 cabriolet actually had a longer production line as they were built in Germany, shipped to the u.s. for convertible conversion, then shipped back to Germany for finishing. It’s a good thing Porsche learned some freaking efficiency from Toyota.

I had the opposite reaction, I think the optimistic 150 miles still gives you a realistic days worth of charge for almost everyone. Not the case for the slew of 80-100 mile offerings.

I was cross country skiing around a frozen lake recently and was like “I want to drive fast on this.” Doing so in my 996 with the top down could be especially fun. Hmmm...

This is the type of car where the person who built it can take pride and consider it money well spent. But to buy it... I’m thinking not.
