I do look forward to seeing mild hybrid technology gaining a little more traction. In real world driving, turbo charged 4 cylinders don’t reap that much for mpg benefit over a larger displacement engine for a lot of people. But I bet these 48 volt systems would offer a little mpg bump and a little performance bump.

They have been pretty middle of the pack for the last 5-10 years. Still not great but not as bad as the Mark IV electronics which is what everyone pretends their quality still is.

Handouts. Ha.

2 V6 mustangs or for the tavarish fans 8 mk3 supras.

The new Supra sucks. The new 718 cayman which I also have not driven has way better handling. And the engine in the Supra is totaling lacking in torque in the mid range compared to a mustang GT. And the visibility is worse than a Camaro. But the new Z4 is God’s next son.

Ecosport or Escape seems like a good guess or an update to the FOST. One nifty thing about the ecosport or escape would be it would probably come with AWD.

I’m a little torn as a former ford freestyle owner. There were a minimal amount of defective CVTs in those cars but lots of problematic throttle bodies(which caused many problems similar to a bad transmission). I think the CVT problems were way overblown and Ford didn’t ever address it because they had data to know

That unique commitment to driving experience where you want a manual steering rack but not a manual transmission. Strange indeed!

Uggh man, as a former 944 owner you sound like me on my bad days with that car. But those days were rare. For the most part my 944 experience was easy and positive. I would buy a 928; I would not necessarily buy this one. I’ve seen later model 928s with a stick for ever so slightly less. But the stick is so rare on

Put more kindly, what does a prettied up front engines hot hatch have to do with a mid engine RWD sports car?

But

This. So much this.

Suzuki is such an excellent recommendation. Those sx4s, when you can find them, are super reasonable. Kizashi came with AWD I believe, we’re well liked, and also suffer from orphan depreciation.

No other peoples farts involved. If it’s $600/month for one year it actually seems like a better deal than buying it new and trading in a year later by a fair bit.

Boxster cuts two ways. First, it’s a Porsche. Second, people will assume it’s a second car.

This is a tough one. In the PacNW this car, sans rust, is probably a $4,000-5,000 considering the miles. But, the rust...

What’s the estimated MPG for the turbo 4? (Sorry if I missed it). I love the idea of mild hybrid systems.

Gotta flip the script.

Shrug. I’m just relaying what an owner reported.

Matt Farrah drove one of these and I think the owner said plan on spending closer to $50k to get one well sorted.
