I was thinking 128i to get a newer lower mileage car for his budget. But yeah, 1 series.

Everything about this car seems so wonderful I wish I could drive it.
Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning? 5 Years of treating homeless people for mental health issues is no freaking joke. My wife has done some work like that and it’s hard.
I once saw an ad on Craigslist from a 5000 Avant owner who was trying to find anyone who had one and could help him diagnose some issues. The post oozed desperation. I’d be hesitant about any old Audi but especially a 5000
Only took the guy 31 years to go from drunk driving to step 9 in AA.
The cayman is a fair competitor as is the S2000 but Camaro and gen coupe are huge compared to this. And this versus a 10 year old cayman or s2000 is going to feel a lot newer and be less expensive for upkeep in the next couple years.
Lots of people say that mods don’t add any value to a used cars price and I think this is an example of where that isn’t exactly true. If you would want a supercharged 86 anyways, then paying a few more dollars makes sense and this is not that far over other cars in the market. You’d want to ensure the install is…
Can’t deal with heat... ha
Gas mileage with cruise on at 72ish.
This. The noise is worse, although I keep buying hatchbacks, so I think must not be a decent tradeoff. And some are worse than others. My wife’s C-Max is pretty quiet. My 944(early model) was super loud. Turbo Beetle is in between.
More upset about the initial deception over the mismatched prices and editing the ad of it all. Also, if we had started negotiation at the lower price, I probably would have paid a little less, at least gotten transaction costs and fees waived.
Because happy wife.
Yeah, I was really bummed I hadn’t screen captured it. Oh well. It was like $250 and my wife was happy.
Hahaha, if I had quit negotiating my wife would have stayed and bought the thing anyways, but we weren’t going home without that car after the test drive.
My principles versus my wife’s desire for a new car and her lack of patience for my cheapness were alll coming to ahead. And so, I swallowed my pride.
My wife wanted a C-Max and we found one in the next big city over about 100 miles away. On Craigslist it was listed for $12,950 and on their website it was listed for $13,800. The $12,950 price was really good, even the $13,800 was pretty good but dealers near us were close to that number$14,250. So my wife submits…
The way the hybrid system adds torque to my wife’s c-max and it’s good gas mileage makes me think there is room for hybrid systems in sporty cars but the degree to which the crz disappointed everyone makes me doubt those feelings. I know it wasn’t all that sporty but it was tiny and offered a manual and yet, response…
Very little weight difference from what I remember between the various m96 blocks. And the weights in the middle, so even less to worry about.
As a person who just did the reverse, 3.2l engine in a 996 roller, cause I’m cheap and oppose are awesome; this isn’t the hardest swap in the world(I mean yeah, it was hard, but the engine’s pretty much match up sensor to sensor; and the engine mounts are very close to the same). So the vagueness about who did the…
911 is a good suggestion, for his budget, going with a 996 turbo makes a lot of sense. They are more reliable and done depreciating.
