Strong muffler game.

Some Russian dash cam videos on youtube have very similar non-marked lanes. Drives me nuts. I can’t quite figure out how the traffic lights work either. 

I didn’t notice that until you pointed it out. I recall an episode of Quantum Leap where Al points out that shoulder or “fog line” markings weren’t a thing in the 50s or 60s time frame into which Sam had leaped. Crazy they didn’t have lane markings in the 40s on those roads. Of course no seat belts, “safety” glass, or…

And just like now, I’m sure people then complained that the smattering of cars was too much traffic. Just image what’s ahead.

I guess it depends on your understanding of “just about” but they are basically (or even exactly) the same ingredients. If there are differences, they are usually minor. There’s likely to be butter or oil added (and maybe more sugar or flavoring like vanilla) and sometimes steps such as seperatng and beating the eggs…

That the album came out after Cobain’s death gave it such emotional resonance. You feel like this is a man calling out desperately for help.  I guess it’s also important to see it as a performance, recorded well before the actual suicide and the events leading up to it.   

Still gives me chills and this is coming from someone who owns four different Alan Lomax releases of "In The Pines" and has probably heard every standard version besides Leadbelly. It's very effective, sparse and can be emotionally ravaging depending on your mood when you hear it.

Just happened to be listening to “Where Did You Sleep Last Night” right now, which may actually be my favorite ‘Nirvana’ song. It’s a perfect capper to the Unplugged.
