Maybe because it looks awesome? I'd buy one if I had the money. The only thing I don't like about the Karma is the stupid touch screen in the dash.

Oh, and modified? How about restored. It was sitting outside without protection for 12 years. I had to rebuild the floor, the transom, the engine, the stern drive, ALL of the wiring, interior, etc etc. But yeah I just modified it, it's way more impressive when some chick drives her parents automatic in a straight…
Because this isn't newsworthy in the slightest. She drove an automatic car setup for drag racing on a drag strip. It has slicks. It has an auto. It's super easy to turn fast times with a car setup like this. She wasn't bracket racing. She didn't build the car. So basically no talent required, the only reason…
Can't? Dude she drove a fucking automatic transmissioned car! Most people can do that! What's rare is that her parents have a drag Camaro. I would say that almost ANY kid who's dad owns a drag car has been allowed to drive it. THIS IS NOT NEWS.
Why is that impressive? It has slicks. It was built to be a drag car. It is designed and modified to hook up like that. You people are seriously clueless.
What was I doing? Building my 68 Charger that I BOUGHT MYSELF, and FIXED MYSELF, and RACED myself. Oh, and it was a fucking stickshift.
Dude. I'm not mad at her at all! I'm annoyed at Jalop for promoting this as news! Newsflash: Thousands of people drag race, and the time slip is way more dependent on pocketbooks than skill level. This is an automatic transmissioned camaro with slicks, she wasn't bracket racing, she didn't build the car. Who…
Cool, let's see if Jalopnik decides it's newsworthy! I'm guessing not because it's not really news at all. Which is the entire point of me being a dick. I'm glad your having fun but this is a stupid article.
I would agree with you if she was driving a vintage camaro with a manual transmission and street tires. But it's an auto with slicks, which basically eliminates most of the variables/skill from any of this.
No, I'm assuming the car is an auto, because it's setup for drag racing (the only type of racing where autos are dominant) and she's a girl (probably can't drive stick). All 4 of my cars are stickshift, buddy.
They don't because their dad doesn't own a 68 Camaro setup for drag racing.
Nah. Cool VW chick with a GTi on coilovers. Big ol titties. :D
I'm not talking shit that she is into cars, thats great. I'm talking shit because this isn't newsworthy. There are literally thousands of girls across the country that could get into a car they didn't build, and press their foot down for 12 seconds. She wasn't even bracket racing so... what is newsworthy here?
Okay, let me drive someone elses car that goes that fast in a straight line. I'll do it all day long.
Drive stick shift, for starters.
LOL. My significant other can drive a stickshift, so I'm already ahead of the game.
Yup. They do it competitively, where they, you know, race other people. And have sponsors. This chick has/did neither. All she did was stomp her foot down in a car someone else built and kept the wheel straight. She wasn't even bracket racing, which actually does take skill...
Could you do that in a car built* specifically for drag racing?
But she didn't win a bracket race. She just went fast. Who cares. And yes, I've drag raced a few of my cars, my 68 Charger with a 383/4spd ran 13.2s, my Subie SVX ran a 15.8, and my Neon ran a 15.9. I haven't dragged any of my current cars (77 911S, 95 S6 Avant) because I find it utterly boring, especially with an…
