For sure. And honestly, I think that moving for the money is usually pretty fucking shortsighted. The real value of long-standing teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Lakers (yes, I know they moved from Minny), the Cardinals, etc., is their connection with communal identity. That worked out for the Sonics, both because

I wouldn’t have any problem with the family selling and making a profit (although this move is great!), and I wouldn’t have any real problem with a new owner moving the team to make more money. That’s capitalism.

What I DO have a problem with is owners expecting the public to finance their fucking vanity projects.

I actually meant that I hated it the first time I saw it on ESPN yesterday (where a certain Deadspin writer gets all of his material).

I hate these stories. There are enough people in the world placing enough stupid bets that some of them will come through. Why is that supposed to be interesting?

Wait, but NH schools are awful. WTF? What are they spending their money on?

My Biloxi experience is very limited, having spent maybe a total of 30 hours there in 2009. But I’m white, my wife is black, and no one, like, actively tried to make our experience worse or anything.

FOR ME TO POOP ON!!!

(Married nine years.)

I’m still friends with all of them. Only two (out of eight) are relatives.

I love her, and I am not ashamed.

I live in Boston, and one of my proudest civic moments was when the entire city collectively told the mayor to shove the Olympics up his ass.

God, what a fucking head case.

My God, I hope he trips someone else SO BAD.

That’s just, like, your opinion, man.

What are the chances we get the back story on this before the NCG? Really curious who’s being a douche and in what specific way they’re being douchey.

The Raiders were only 25-1 before the season? I’d have given them 10-1 with a healthy Carr and a first-round bye.

God, that’s fucking dumb.

I don’t understand. Is the tweet clear? Are they saying that a shootout held before the game will determine the winner? Because that’s not what the tweet says. The tweet says that the shootout will be *held* before the game, if the game turns out to be unplayable, which doesn’t make any sense in a whole

No link to the replay?

Counterpoint: It did.
