Sony isn’t getting favoritism, sony is simply not the one in open process of purchasing a massive chunk of the industry. If sony were buying Activision then we’d be talking about Sony, but Microsoft is the one doing it so the focus is, rightfully, on Microsoft.

This Activision deal is not the same thing as Sony to buy up smaller studios one at a time. Sony buying a single studio does not significantly change the competitive landscape. This deal is on a completely different level, as the price plainly indicates. Those smaller deals can fly under the radar. The FTC is

Especially when your market cap is way over 1800 billion dollars, versus Sony’s less than 14 billion dollars. The size difference of these two corporations is immense. MS can gobble a corporation like Activision-Blizz and it doesn’t even make a blip on their balance sheet.

Are we really defending Microsoft’s attempt at a bigger monopoly?

Where’s all this shit Sony has been doing for over a decade plus? Please inform us.

The Disney/Fox merger shouldn’t have happened either. Just because our antitrust laws have been ignored for so long doesn’t mean we should just do away with them. I’m happy to see this merger be stopped, and am really hoping to see something similar with the Kroger/Albertson’s merger. The consolidation of corporations

I find the “Microsoft is just a poor little company. There’s nothing wrong with the merger” talk so, so weird.

...is what some weirdo would say if they didn’t know every voice actor for Kratos has always been black.

Really when your story is about the Greece of antiquity and/or the myths therefrom if everybody doesn’t land in the mid-range of the Kinsey scale, something has gone wrong.

COUNTERPOINT: If I ever find myself in that position, they’ll have to drag my ass off stage.

Yes.  People should be allowed to share their moment.  It’s a great opportunity to be proud of the accomplishments of other people.

Too bad we’ll never hear a speech from a salty internet-nobody like you, I bet you’d show everyone how it’s done properly, champ!

It’s been a joy watching such a flat, one-dimensional character such as Kratos be given life by the new narrative team and Judge’s excellent performances.

The most important thing about those 8 million copies sold is that they include copies that Sony literally gave away for free on Playstation Plus. Anyway, here’s how you screw up your super-cool and hardcore apocalypse game with a presumed attempt at a relatable main character.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone blame a “woke” reason for their problems that wasn’t just trying to avoid admitting the actual problem.

tier-2 is hella accurate. there are some enjoyable moments here. i loved customizing and riding the motorcycle but actually playing days gone became frustratingly tedious especially when you run outta gas in the open world which is what happened to me several times and led to some annoying deaths

yeah you’re not missing much tbh. days gone is like an enhanced and expanded version of eutechnyx’s ride to hell: retribution if you remember that game at all

Imagine unironically using woke in current year

A minor thing maybe, but this seems like a dumb mechanic to include in the first place.

3k a month for 40 hour weeks? Honestly it seems like you’re underpaid, too.
