This is Maduin/Madonna erasure and I won't stand for it.

Yeah no, you’re either just defending the game you like for no good reason, because people complaining are trying to improve it. Or you lack the technical knowledge to know when the game is falling appart on you, which is fine but believe me when I tell you the experience could be much better.
...did you have your eyes closed? I’m enjoying the heck out of Violet in spite of it all, but there is no way anyone has played through them without issues.
I swear to God, if I drop out of warp (or whatever we’re calling FTL here) and a ship doesn’t come out of nowhere and comms come up and they don’t say: “I’ve been looking for you. Got something I’m supposed to deliver - your hands only.”
It’s a wasted opportunity.
Agreed. There’s no point to even having them there if they aren’t stressful. To have non-stressful “survival” elements misses the point of what they are supposed to be completely.
As a general rule, if the survival elements aren’t causing any stress, you don’t actually HAVE survival elements, you just have some mildly annoying busywork at times. The whole point of survival elements is that they need to cause you stress, with the possibility of your game just being fucking over because you…
You’re alone on the ship, you’re out of fuel. You desperately search around the few asteroids in the system scavenging what little you can find. But you’ve stayed too long. You hear the footsteps, he’s here. And all that fills you is dread as they speak.
This is the only comment that matters. Kind of stunning that the article doesn’t mention prices, but then you see it’s Zack...
Imagine that it’s 1996 and that the Sega Nomad has been out for several months. One day, you’re flipping through the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly when you come across an article titled: “Sega Nomad’s Greatness Makes It Hard to Go Back to the Game Boy”. An absurd notion to be sure, but it’s very similar to…
New device that costs 2-3x the cost of old device is a better device, yawn.
I have the opposite experience.
Switch games generally just work well out of the box. Steamdeck games often have a bit of fiddling to get working. I love being able to play God of War on my deck (even if the controller isn’t great for it), but having to play with settings on it or having to fiddle with shit to get…
The only thing I was playing on my Switch that I don’t already have on PC was Hyrule Warriors. I can’t envision another scenario in which I’d pick up my Switch over my Steam Deck. Maybe Breath of the Wild 2? Glad I grabbed that instead of a PS5 or Xbox. Either of those probably would have collected dust, too.
Currently…
The only non-awesome thing I said about it is that it’s SSD is too small.
The company also points out that the last Elder Scrolls game was released in 2011
This, GTA IV is the worst just backside driving felt terrible, moving the character was not fun, and the shooting mechanics were bad as well. Seriously all the parts that made it a game were just bad. Oh, also having people call you all the time sucked, the mini games were bad and just tacked on, it is easily the…
For me, GTA4 was just.. boring. It was the first game in the series I ever started from the beginning and actually tried to “play”. The characters are boring, the story is boring.. and even the city (somehow, I don’t even know) was boring.
I remember feeling so forced to try to finish it, which I absolutely did not.…
San Andreas is so heavily revered on the internet that I feel like putting it first would’ve been the least controversial option. Putting it fourth, behind its followups, is ballsy.
I can’t really argue with the list except for the fact that GTA4 is what lost my interest and it had nothing to do with the tone. It was the movement. It just feels so off, like instead of just pivoting and moving left my character has to walk this wide arc.
San Andreas was the one I had the most fun playing and the game that I immediately think about if someone says “Grand Theft”
I’ve played them all excluding V, but I think Vice City should rank higher based on soundtrack alone.
