I was going to say NP, until I noticed that the parts replaced on the engine did not mention head gaskets. You had an 80,000m EJ25 out of the car for a swap, and didn’t bother replacing the thing that’s practically guaranteed to go in the next 20,000-ish?

If you click through the link, it seems Jalopnik provided the inspiration for the name.

I don’t know about that, even. I don’t remember what movie, but I distinctly remember a scene where a character is furiously pressing the start button on a modern car and it won’t start

It would be racecar technology on the street, if you consider FanBoost.

I live in northern Vermont, myself. Just a few miles from the Canadian border.

Maybe.... But I also don't hate this more modern take on the roof bag, which is much more likely to keep things reliably dry

Quite a few cars have them as options, I’ve learned by playing with configurators online. Though I've never seen one in the wild outside of diesels.

The bedliner on the tailgate of my '97 Ranger had indents like that.  I'm a fan of anything that allows for easy placement of beer.

Smart move on a convertible that might be parked top-down.

Me: “Oh, I actually like that!”

Vermont was pretty bare. My pick is this rough Sidekick:

Nah, once the motor oil stain is there to stay, you just have to dye the rest of the garment with oil. It's proven science.

On my outgoing (uninspectable- rust in peace) Honda Element, it has to be the sunroof in the far back, behind even the rear passenger seats. It pops open to vent and help air flow through the car, so that’s cool. The randomness is that it is also removable. As a feature.

Honestly sounds like a nice setup. I’ve only driven one briefly, but it seemed like it could be fun. I bet that really is.

I’d pay more for the unmolested example, myself. Unless I was planning on making those particular mods and could verify they were done well.

Yeah, in the motorcycle world, that kind of revs and power/displacement aren’t so crazy. Which itself is kind of crazy.

Or the 166hp 1100 v-twin?

Starred for Rut-Vegas. Not something I expect to see on Jalopnik.

People do it in Vermont, too.  Couldn't tell you why, and they aren't the kind of people I'd just stop and casually ask.

There’sa place near me here out east doing it with Tacomas, and you can see it in the photos they post ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE. It baffles me that they get away with it here, where we’re used to seeing rust and (should) know what to look for.
