How about percentage of vehicles sold instead of number of vehicles. Volvo S60, V60, XC60, S80, and XC90 are ALL on the top safety+. Thats EVERY SINGLE CAR THEY MAKE (save the XC70 which doesn’t really sell lol). Toyota schmoyota.

Probably the same thing my 81 year old grandma is with her stick ‘99 3000GT VR4. Except not, case my gma drives hers like 1k/yr.

If it’s loose it places an equivalent moment on the pin that will absolutely break it right off. That was my point. I agree conceptually in shear you aren’t going to break it.

If you’re extraordinarily concerned, you can actually test the belt out yourself by yanking on it with at least 80 pounds of force, which is a lot of force

I went to NYC from Kansas City to get my car. It was fun flying into NYC and getting to know my new car driving it over the span of 2 full days. No such thing as too far IMO.

Already my desktop background here at work!

This battery should be inducted into the wall of shame.

College buddies 68X/70X 2003 Cobra. All the g-forces.

Dream world. Engineer with 6 years experience and I have a $32k garage. Cash cars, but still.

Too much. Because Volvo.

Because an inanimate object just goes around killing people...

Let me rewrite this article really quick:

I was on that very ride on that very bridge not 3 weeks ago.

They never floor it as a part of EPA testing. Hence when you go WOT they went to smog the world mode.

This is why my entire family drives Volvo’s (11 of them in my extended family on the road right now). They beat this test with the old XC90 before the test was even created, which is truly amazing. Couple mpg loss on the competition is worth making it home each night safe and sound.

As promised! Stalkerish from afar photo lol.

No the 3000GT. I drive the S60R and yes it is bone stock.

Thanks guys. She is bringing it over this weekend for my son’s bday, I’ll snap a pic for ya, and check in on the mileage as well (was 53k when I drove it this spring)!

Really quickly visualize a 75 year old white-headed woman driving a 6-speed VR4 in that red (that’s like really orange-ish in my opinion, btw). It’s a pretty funny sight. I’ll snap a pic and message you next time I see her (she lives like 10 minutes away).

My grandma (I am 27) quite literally daily drives a bone stock 1999 VR4 which is OEM to the nut holding the glovebox to the dash, with 53k. It gets a professional detail every 6 months and gets driven often, just short jaunts around town. Oil is changed every 3k miles. Thing runs like a top. It is scary close in
