46 kWh/100 miles is awful - as the chart you posted shows the Model X can beat that with a longer range (you posted the 100D), the M3's are a lot better, and the Leaf/Bolt are the same or better than the M3.

It’s more complicated to order dinner for 4 on GrubHub than it was to buy a Model 3 online from Tesla. Picking it up took perhaps 30 minutes (and the dealer was swamped!)  It doesn’t have to be this way.

You’ll actually do better in traffic - lower speeds plus taking more advantage of regenerative braking. Like how the Prius gets better city mileage than highway. Valid point on the “functional range” though, anytime I get below 5% and I’m not pretty close to home/supercharger, it’s squeaky bum time.

I have little kids.  Yes, Tesla’s aren’t ideal for long-haul (500+ mile) road trips, but if you’ve got L2 charging at home, then you eliminate the need to ever go out of your way for gas, which is a big bonus if you’re like me and have little kids.
