Is that what the kids are calling it these days?
Yeah,I paid off just over 50k in student loans in 2 years, but I’m 100% behind people getting some relief. Not everyone gets a high quality degree from a high quality school and lucks into a good paying job from it. I recognize that.
I paid off my student loans on my own. I wouldn’t be mad at all about any program that lessens or forgives that debt for others. A hand up is not a hand out.
She obviously needs another butthole massage.
JH is thirsty
Although also NOT sad because he is ka-yute and maybe I have a shot now!
Aww, I am sad about Oliva and Jason. :(
We went out this week mostly for food. We’re still getting settled with cable, internet, phone, setting up bank accounts, etc. and haven’t bought pots and pans yet. On every restaurant menu so far: hydroponic salad, which is really good.
I am on lockdown. I woke up this morning to a text from my roommate telling me she was exposed to COVID. I haven’t actually been in contact with her since said exposure but she’s in my house so to be safe, I am acting like I have it.
No Thanksgiving for us here. I am living (for now) at my home in Canada far away from the family. Usually we pack up and go back to the states for the winter and spring but we’re just going to stay put and try again next year. I do not plan on celebrating/acknowledging any holidays until my family can be together…
He’s a flighty, naive himbo, and played the game accordingly. As for Kelley, I don’t know that I’d go as far as to call her a “sensible woman;” frankly, going on the Bachelor or Bachelorette, at all, is counter indicative of sensibility. But she was definitely one of the more boring, low-key contestants--though it was…
Thanksgiving, THAN Christmas. I mean, I know these people live in mansions that take a long time to decorate and not my one bedroom apartment, but putting stuff up that early just means it catches dust and takes up room for two damn months and by the time Christmas actually comes you’re sick of it.
In general, I’m in the “you do you” camp. But I also think it is too soon for Christmas shit. That is because I like Thanksgiving (the food) and I hate Christmas. Although, pandemic silver lining, I don’t have to deal with horrible family members this year.
I’m excited to see how Panama does Christmas. I think there will be fireworks, and we're definitely putting a Christmas tree on our balcony.
Yes it’s very intentional. She has been accused, including on Jez, of picking a name that’s intentionally ethnically ambiguous. This is similar to the white academics who don’t correct others when mistaken for POC.
The only thing Elizabeth Woolridge Grant ever did right was insult Moby to his face and have Moby unironically include that insult in his book.
Leonard Cohen kept me sane during the worst part of my life, and he still makes me happy-sad in a way that nothing else can. My husband was going to propose during a Leonard Cohen concert (he couldn’t wait). My oldest friend, with whom I had lost contact, called me when he died and we had a long talk like we had lost…
