Can’t help but think this was a move to avoid being fired and protect her pension. She’s been there 26 years, so it’s likely substantial.

If it helps at all I’ve had both shots and it’s honestly the smallest needle I’ve ever felt. For the second shot, I was like, did you even do it?  Then your arm feels like you’ve been punched, HARD, for a couple days.  That, for me, was way worse than the injection itself.  Good luck, and congrats!
