Good point, I burned out on AC 3 and one of the other entries (Revelations, I think?).

Wow, that’s high praise! Thanks!
This is great to hear! The old fighting system was OK but not great...passive is the right word.
That’s great to hear, maybe I’ll pick it up this weekend. How’s the balance between “fun” quests and work?
I’ve been hesitant to try any of the next-gen AC games after Black Flag (which I loved) because of the plethora of fetch quests and busywork, but Origins is very intriguing. Is it worth picking up?
It is? That’s great to know! It’s a very interesting film and a nice relic of New York in the 70s—the original novel was based on the Anabasis by Xenophon, of warriors fighting and marching their way home in 401 BCE:

My birthday is always January 1, 1900. Maybe there’s a centenarian out there who wants to watch a video for Fallout DLC but I haven’t met one...just gotta throw off their age demographics.
Same here! I got partway through the first campaign and it was almost too intense. Hoping to save it and the DLC for after this semester is done.
Another brilliant idea—do you think Activision has an “idea box”?
Oh hell yes, that would be an amazing game.
Tip of the hat to the BF1 team for making the game that I dreamed of back in 2010 (scroll down to the fourth thread):
Supremely underrated album. Here’s “Leave”:
Thanks, Arnheim. This is a great review and thanks for copying/pasting!
Let me know how you find it, I’d be interested in hearing your opinion too. I’ve been really curious but between my teaching load and committee work this semester, I haven’t let myself pick it up.
Still play it every once in a while. What a wonderful game: it got me and a bunch of my friends through the final stages of our graduate work. Getting together on Friday or Saturday night and blasting through some of the hits:
Later this afternoon, in Kotaku HQ:
